We purchased a very expensive fireplace insert for our home. When the date of delivery came and went we began calling. For days. No pickup so we left voicemails. Eventually the voicemail box became full, and when we finally drove to the store there was a sign saying that due to an emergency the store was closed and they would reopen 4/12/25. But It was already the following week past the date the sign had been placed. After a month we gave up, called our card company and cancelled the purchase but no one ever got back to us-- not even an acknowledgment. While we had a mostly positive experience with a fire pit we purchased six months prior (although they did lose the first one they ordered somewhere in transit and we had to cancel and reorder it a second time from them) ... I cannot in good faith recommend anyone purchasing from them unless you are looking for them to take your money and disappear without your product.

Service after the sale is non-existent. I purchased a gas fireplace and constantly had to call to find out when it was going to arrive to schedule the install. I had problems with the installation, the electrician didn't screw down the cover of the junction box so I had to have them come back out. I've also had to schedule service on two different occasions, I submitted the request on-line at their website but never receive a call back. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else where you will be appreciated.

Please exercise caution when purchasing from this vendor. We purchased a $1,000 electric fireplace, and it never arrived. No answer when calling the store's phone number, and no response calling the personal number on either of the two sales rep's business cards that we were provided. At one point in time, this store might have been good, but the recent string of 1 star review should be a warning sign. There's a possibility that the store is currently going out of business, but I'm not privy to their current state of financials. As of May 2025, they have a D- rating with the Better Business Bureau, a 2.2/5 stars on Yelp, and a string of some pretty terrible 1 star reviews over the last year on their Google Maps profile. Update: June 2025, still no response from vendor. We filed a charge back with our credit card (Chase), and got our money back.

Updated from 1 star to 3. Every service person that came to our house was pleasant, knowledgeable, and wonderful to work with. The real problems for us were 1) they messed up our order and didn't order a critical piece, 2) they hauled away the old fireplace before making sure they had all the parts for the new one, and 3) the terrible lack of communication throughout the entire process. Yankee Fireplace was quick to sell us a fireplace and take our money, but when it came time for scheduling the install, it took much longer than they promised when trying to make the sale. Then, when the install day finally arrived — six weeks after we paid cash in full for the fireplace — they didn’t have all of the parts necessary to finish the install. They had already uninstalled and hauled away our old fireplace, so we’ve been left with a frigid cold hole in our chimney and no working fireplace. We rely on our fireplace as primary heat source during the coldest months, and the install was of course scheduled for the coldest week of the year. After we called numerous times to get an updated date, we were promised it would be the very next day. The service people never showed. We called Yankee and they hung up on us. Twice. We have been told the final install is pushed back yet another day. They are now avoiding our calls. For a store who promised us exceptional customer service, this is atrocious behavior. They care only about making the sale.

Under no circumstances should you work with this company. We went to them for a gas fireplace insert. After paying the full amount, the day they said they would do the installation came and no one showed up. We called and they said they would be there the next week. They did not show up again and did not return calls or emails until we actually went into the store to see what was going on. The salesman said he didn't know and that the owner was not returning his calls about it. We said we were going to dispute the charges on our credit card and never heard another word from them. Terrible all the way around. Be warned
