My wife and I went to Yankee Doodle to look at electric fireplaces. We ended up buying both a fireplace and a wood stove. The staff was patient and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend going there for your fireplace/wood stove needs.

I've gotten two fireplace doors from Yankee Doodle now. They have a great selection of doors (and log sets and other stuff too) but both my doors had to be custom ordered because of my fireplaces' shapes. Jim came out and did the measurements, and the doors (six weeks later) fit perfectly. Jim's installation was terrific, meticulous and totally pro, and it looks like the doors have always been part of the fireplace and the stone surround. The doors are solid and good looking, and I couldn't be happier with how they've turned out. Jim also sized up my kitchen fireplace for gas log insterts (for conversion for WBFP), which are also perfect. Strong recommend.

They need to hire better installers. The installer used does not pull permits nor do they comply with (code) NFPA211. All solid fuel liners shall be insulated. Nope not with their installers, it’s pretty much whatever is easiest. Purchase your stove from yankee doodle but do yourself a favor do not use them for any installs. Find yourself a certified chimney sweep and pay the extra cost. Your installs are NOT to current code. Your installs DO NOT meet the standard provided by NFPA211. Nor do they comply with the manufactures install instructions. So there is no explaining/ educating me. How about you folks over there learn the code and properly follow and understand the code. Seems you folks just want the sale and after the sale do not care about what takes place. Like I said people are better off going elsewhere where. And I was kind enough to leave 2 stars based on the help you did provide with the purchase.
