  Please avoid purchasing from Wood Heat. Wood Heat has quite literally ruined our ability to have a properly insulated home in any season. We moved to PA from Montana, and know what a good wood stove can mean for your home. This company does not seem to take care of its customers or their homes, and I would not recommend them for your wood stove or fireplace purchases or installations. The purchase and installation of our home’s wood stove was performed by Wood Heat in Quakertown. The stove was installed incorrectly, such that two intake ducts are ported externally to outside. This is incorrect even by the manufacturer’s own installation manual and instructions, and Wood Heat staff were surprised to see the final setup and identified and admitted that this is an incorrect installation, and would result in constant cold air from outside coming into the house in wintertime (and defeat AC in summertime) Our wood stove is currently a permanent source of direct, ice-cold air from outside the home. Our stove now works day and night to overcome this draft, while our oil heat works to actually heat the home. Wood Heat has quite literally ruined our ability to have a properly insulated home in any season. We took this discovery back to them, asking if they would consider either making it right, or if we could even HIRE them to do the required work to correct the installation. They were very kind, but dismissive of being hired to do work to fix the issue, uninterested in even being having an install crew come out and be paid for the work to fix their own mistake. It was as if they completed their sale, and didn’t care to follow up on a poor job. We were literally told, in the same breath, that they recognize this was installed incorrectly, but they wouldn’t help us or be hired to help us fix it, but we could “probably do it ourselves”. This is an external wall of our home, and a stove masoned into the wall and chimney - we are absolutely not professionals, nor should we be left to make a mess of a professional installation, or our home. We’re incredibly frustrated by the damage to our home, and their disinterest in “a job well done”. They seem motivated solely by immediate sales - not customer success (or retention). Second star only for one great salesman/technician who discussed the issue with us, and was incredibly helpful, but knew the company overall (confirmed by our later talking to the manager to ask if we could hire them for the fix) would never be interested in making this right.

  Jim from Wood Heat came out and knew exactly what the issue was. He quickly fixed the fan and took the time to explain how everything works, including the remote and what to do during power outages. Very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to talk to. Highly recommend—ask for Jim

  We recently had our gas fireplace serviced by Jim from wood heat in Quakertown. Jim was prompt knowledgeable and fixed the problem we were having with our unit. He took the time to explain the problem and the steps he used th fix it. We are grateful for the service department at wood heat. Thank you Jim !
