Tonight was my son's birthday party with a few kids and I had called last month to see what they might be able to do party wise. Originally the fire fighters were supposed to do a little safety class for the kiddos and see the trucks etc. Well just yesterday because of covid resurgence they were told they can no longer do it. So they called today to confirm and said it would just have to be a drive by and I was soooo sad and disappointed. Fast forward to when they show up. They come down the street and park. They all came over to say happy birthday and fist bumped or high five him. They showed us all around the fire truck, let him and the kids touch some of the tools, let them spray the extinguisher, let them sit on the front. They gave them hats.. and they apologized profusely for the new restrictions. They also encouraged us to bring him over the firehouse anytime once covid is gone and that he would be allowed to see the trucks, do the sirens and lights, go all over and see their gear etc. They were seriously the kindest people and it made all of our nights! I could cry writing this because it was just incredible and made us so happy. Thank you Ashburn volunteer firefighters for being the best people and making my son's day so special!!!

Great organization! They are involved in the community and always seem to be busy helping people. Also a beautiful looking station.

One of the most beautiful fire stations I have ever seen, and I look forward to having at least one of my son's birthdays there in the future. We love the open houses and pancake breakfasts, such a fun way to see the fire trucks and meet the staff and volunteers. Unfortunately you can only see the fire trucks in the bay now if you tour with a group - which was fun and educational for the adults and older children, but a real disappointment for the toddlers.

Called for smoke coming out from our gas ignition. Their response was immediate and quick. They were even nice to my kids. Very efficient, considerate and organized. Glad to have them.nearby

Thank you, one & all, AVFRD, for saving the day after our treadmill decided to go "nuclear" on us. Thank you for verifying that it wasn't something else, for clearing the air with your fans, and for moving the treadmill outside. You guys are the best!!
