Grossly over priced and rude!! I went and got a quote for chimney. John Wallace helped me with a quote for about 25 mins. Most of it was just him entering part numbers and asking the guy next to him what parts would work. The quote from Wallace was $7300 total. It seemed high and I wanted to check before spending ~7k. I went online and priced the same chimney (exact same brand and parts). The total online- including $757 for shipping was ~$4600. I wanted to respect the work and help that Wallace had done (25mins of looking up parts). I returned the next day to see if he would price match or drop the price. I have purchased previous from them and had a good experience a few years ago plus they are local business. I told him the huge price difference and asked if he would price match since I wanted to give him business and recognize his help. He rudely just said-“NO”. He would not lower his price at all! Not only was he rude, he refused to sell me anything!!! He said it was I buy it all or he would not sell me- NOTHING! I would recommend: Don’t buy here!!!

This company does not stand behind its installers that it contracts with. Horrible installation. Huge gaps. I think they intentionally waited longer than 90 days for install so we couldn't dispute with credit card company. Would NEVER recommend. Bought stove in August and they continued to push back install until November. In January it's still not done right and the store won't help at all. They try and money every time I ask them to do something that wasn't done the first time.

We had another company out before Wallace. They tried to charge me 4x the amount Wallace charged and cut my fan wire to try to force us to replace the system. Kevin came out, found the exact problem and the cut fan wire. He was able to fix the wire, get the part we needed and left us with our fireplace looking as good as new. We have worked with them in the past too, and have always been happy. We have decided this is the only company we will call on. Honest, fair, and caring. Edited to add - 2 weeks later and we have had 2 issues (to no fault of this company) and they have returned (twice) to figure out the issues and resolved them both. I felt like one of those pain in the butt customers that just complains and they assured me that they didn’t feel that way. They genuinely cared about the issues and returned as quickly as possible. I really can’t recommend them enough.

Kevin, from Wallace Stoves, came to clean & repair my very old gas fireplace insert. He was friendly, informative, helpful & thorough. He told me what he was doing every step of the way. Will definitely use them going forward!
