  I used Tru-Lite Gas Products to service my gas fireplace after we had issues getting the pilot light back on following a whole-home generator installation (yay hurricane season in HTX). CenterPoint was no help, and the original fireplace installer brushed me off since it was out of warranty. Tru-Lite was the complete opposite; transparent, responsive, and incredibly helpful from the start. Ruben came out, clearly explained everything, and even showed me a few maintenance tips I could handle myself. The fireplace now looks and works better than when I bought the home in 2023! Even though it's summer, I’m glad it’s ready for colder months, and I’ll definitely be using Tru-Lite for any future servicing. Great experience all around.

  Shout out to Chris! We had Tru-Lite come out to service our fireplace about a year ago and they installed a remote system. The remote stopped working a few months later and I tried everything google said to do to troubleshoot it. I stopped in the store today to see if someone could take a look at it and Chris determined it was the remote. In the process of testing it, one of the connections broke so he gave me an entire new system with remote for no charge. Thank you Chris and Tru Lite for your great customer service!

  These folks aren't upfront and honest. Went to their store about 3 weeks ago to order a 50ft NG hose for my generator. Spoke with Chris - no response and still no update on the order. I get the impression this their way of "ghosting" customers instead of being upfront and honest, that that won't be ordering or purchasing this hose and the associated fittings. Good thing I didn't pay ahead of time Frustrating that they just can't say up that they're not going to order it - for whatever reason that may be. Good luck to you if you use them, and hopefully you get a better response. And don't pay upfront, if you do, just be aware

  Stopped by to look at some appliances for my outdoor kitchen. They had what I was looking for on display and I was able to take measurements to fit it in my outdoor kitchen. The staff were friendly and my grandfather and I had a great conversation with them. We will definitely return to do business. I recommend this place to anybody.

  I absolutely love Tru-Lite! They’ve been servicing our gas fireplace for the past four years. It came with our house, which we bought new in 2000, but it never worked quite right. On their very first visit in 2022, Reuben immediately spotted the poor installation job. He took it upon himself to disassemble and reinstall it properly—at no extra charge. Since then, we’ve had them back every other year for routine maintenance, and the fireplace has worked perfectly. Fast forward to June of this year—while preparing for hurricane season, we decided to buy a Duramax portable tri-fuel generator. After researching our options, we knew we wanted more personalized service than what a big-box store could offer. I was thrilled to see Tru-Lite listed as an authorized Duramax dealer on the manufacturer’s website. We happily purchased the generator through them, even though it cost just a little more—it was absolutely worth it. Instead of having a heavy box delivered and figuring it out ourselves (we're not DIYers), Tru-Lite ordered the unit and all the necessary parts, installed a quick-release nozzle on our gas meter, tested the generator, and walked us through how to use it. The installation was a separate charge from the cost of the generator, but well worth it for the professional service and peace of mind. (We had our own electrician install the interlock and power outlet for the electrical hookup.) Great service, honest work, and real customer care—that’s why we’ll keep coming back to Tru-Lite.
