  A Lifesaver in the Middle of Winter - We went into Tierra thinking we just needed to replace the glass on the wood stove that came with the home we recently purchased. But thankfully, Della took a closer look and saved us from making a dangerous mistake. She immediately noticed that the old stove had been misfired and warped by a previous owner, and that the door screws had melted in place due to someone using aftermarket parts. Selling us just a new door would have been unsafe, and Della had the integrity and experience to point that out rather than make a quick sale. From there, she helped us find the right size and type of stove for our space — something efficient and appropriate, since it’s our primary source of heat. She had our comfort and safety in mind every step of the way, even recommending we replace a section of single-wall chimney pipe that wasn’t up to code. The stove she recommended (by Pacific Energy) was a perfect fit and heats the space much better than the old stove. All of this happened during a critical moment in the dead of winter, just before a serious sub-zero cold snap, AND a baby on the way. Tierra had everything we needed in stock, from the stove itself to every last part and accessory. We were able to make this big, important purchase just in time, and it made all the difference for our family. We genuinely recommend Tierra. Della & her team were knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely caring — exactly who you want to work with when it comes to heating your home safely.

  They are a soups to nuts outfit. Not the cheapest way to go, but they have a good selection of quality stoves and an attentive and knowledgeable sales staff. They have a good installer, and they function well as a team in satisfy the customers heating requirements. Good job overall.

  They have good quality stoves, I asked for a lacquered ceramic stove and the sales lady said immediately, we can't get those. Any, I looked around. I picked out a quality free standing gas stove which was high quality. No one asked me what my room size was to make sure the stove was suitable for my space. I said to the salesperson, I have never bought this type of item. She felt comfortable selling this stove to me without asking me or sending someone to my home to see if the stove worked in my den. It is way too big and too hot for my small den. When I left the store, the owner with the grey hair never said, thank you for purchasing through us. I do not recommend this place.
