  We just had our gas fireplace installed by Hearthside Shoppe for our new home in Jay, NY and they were amazing - super professional, accommodating, friendly, punctual, and even did the install during a freezing cold day in January with no issues or complaints. If you need a wood stove or gas stove in the North Country, this is the place. Violet and her team are consummate professionals and they were incredibly reliable and helpful. Highly recommended!

  Highly Recommended! After dealing with 2 other companies- one that said or wood stove and liner was trash, another that stuffed our stove insulation into the chimney liner and almost killed us with CO poisoning- we finally found Hearthside. They confirmed (along with another company) that our liner was good, and our stove was perfectly repairable. The technician came out, was friendly and helpful. Serviced our old Avalon stove and helped get our house warm again.

  Had a wood stove installed almost a year ago. when they installed the stove they didn't tell us they didn't have the fresh air kit until they were leaving. I made another another appointment they came out but didn't have the right parts they left and came back in 30 minutes or so to install again but the stove was hot so they couldn't. So the guy said he would come on Saturday. So Saturday came didn't start the stove. Waited until 1200 then started the stove . Email Monday they tell me that the stove company doesn't recommend putting a fresh air kit on .so I asked for a refund she said ok .so a week goes by no refund I email her again .she refunded my card. . I told her I don't have that card no more . After she refunded that card. I called the bank in ct and asking they received the refund . Bank said no and if there no account to put it in it will be send back to the business. So I called again she hasn't got it back .. so I told her to take it back out from what ever account she put it in.and sent me my refund. Haven't heard anything from the company yet .been almost 2 weeks and nothing..bank said they might have put it in some other account. So my opinion is ill never see that refund. They messed up and now the customer loses out. DON NELSON .

  We couldn’t be happier with the experience we’ve had with the Hearthside Shoppe and the purchasing, delivery, and installation of our new woodstove. We never visited their showroom (since we are in VT) so our buying experience was done completely over the phone — Violet was easy to talk to and was great at following up via email. We had to postpone our installation three times due to a delay in getting our wood floors refinished. They made rescheduling super easy and even slightly adjusted their delivery time for us. To top it off, Nolan and Kyle were professional and efficient with their installation and did an incredible job with clean-up. Big props to their whole team. We are super excited to use our new Hearthstone Heritage woodstove.
