Sarah is the best! I had such an amazing experience with The Granite City and had to share! When I first visited, the quartz I had my heart set on wasn’t available, but my sales rep Sarah went above and beyond. She suggested I visit the supplier’s warehouse to select the exact slab I wanted, and they had it delivered directly to The Granite City for cutting and installation. The slab I chose is absolutely gorgeous—and large enough that my countertop has no seams! The entire process was exceptional from start to finish. Sarah was incredibly accommodating, the technician who came to measure was precise and used laser technology, and the installation team did a fantastic job. I’m extremely pleased with my new quartz countertop and highly recommend The Granite City and Sarah!

6 months later I couldn’t help but notice cracking on the left side and that’s when I noticed they cut the slab a 1/4 inch too short and they covered it up really good. See pics… They also didn’t cut the sink how I asked but I lived with that.. I was giving an excuse the day of install why it was cut differently and I said you know what it’s ok because it wasn’t that bad. I’m not one to complain but this struck a nerve for sure. I tried calling them to come back and fix there mess up and I was told it was chargeable which is beyond me when I paid well over $2800 for 11 sqft of slab 6 months ago. I didn’t even argue with the price, I just paid it.. I was told because it’s on an exterior wall it will always crack. Well little did they know this wall is 2x6 framing with closed cell spray foam inside and there many other caulk joints with no issues. Then they tried tell me because it’s a dead end joint, they had to cut it short to fit it. The right plywood false wall was removed day of by the installers so that was another excuse. That space should only be 1/8 of an inch max… not a 1/4 of an inch ever. Option1- caulk the joint again for charge When I said I have a one year warranty on labor (CT law) they offered to come back and caulk it again for free… what a joke Option 2 - to try to adjust the slab so that the left side didn’t have such a gap they offered for an extra charge to come back and spilt the difference from the other side which is a 1/8 of a inch off the right wall. Talk about standing behind your work. I would have to hire an electrician, plumber and painter once they are done because of their mistake and also pay them.. at that point cut me a new slab because either way it’s going to be short. Option 3- a back piece which I didn’t want from the start.. even if I did that it will still show the frontside of the slab with a massive caulk joint. Of course that chargeable which I understand but not what I wanted. I was clear from the beginning when I walked into your store. I told them I would like to speak to the person in charge or owner last week… no response or anything.. Talk about not standing behind your work. A 1/4 of space between a slab and wall will ALWAYS crack..I work in the construction industry so please do not try to explain how this works. so much for a template.. I am beyond frustrated with this company and lost total trust in them and do not want them back ever on any of my jobs. It’s not about the money but the principle of standing behind your work especially when you mess up like you did here. We all make mistakes and what the customer remembers most is what you do to fix them. Talk about showing your true colors. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere.

i’ve been working with GRANITE CITY on our countertop projects since 2012 and this new project for the log cabin we built in 2025 was just as splendid. The girls in the office are fabulous and MOHAMED stands behind his projects. I know in the future we will continue to use GRANITE CITY. Thank you SARAH.

I’ve used Granite City now twice, once about 10 years ago for a bathroom countertop and then just this week for a kitchen countertop at a beach house in Rhode Island. Both times I have been very happy with the overall process and the end results. This more recent time I worked with Sarah, who I could not recommend enough. She was so patient and helpful as I struggled to pick a countertop stone. When I found one I liked at another supplier in Rhode Island she was able to find and procure the stone for me. She kept me up-to-date the entire time with scheduling and arrivals and made sure to check in before and after install as well. Thank you Sarah!
