  Christian was punctual and quickly diagnosed the issue as the switch. When I mentioned my desire for a remote-controlled gas fireplace but hesitated due to budget, he immediately suggested a remote unit upgrade for my existing 23-year-old model. I purchased it that day and am very happy with the result, especially the new thermostat function which prevents overheating. Both Christian and his helper, Josiah, were thorough and tidy, leaving no mess. As an added bonus, my fireplace received a fresh interior paint job, making it look almost new.

  I can’t say enough about my experience working with Donna & Dan. Donna’s ideas for my fireplace facelift were things I never even thought about and Dan was instrumental in bringing them to life. Sebastian’s and his partner’s workmanship in transferring my wood burning fireplace to gas and then the tile work they installed on the brick on the front of the fireplace has made the end result just come out fabulous. I highly recommend!! I am currently waiting for the new doors to come in to complete the makeover.

  The owner and the technicians were very professional, on the other hand the receptionist is extremely rude. Yelling and screaming at me when I confronted her about not returning calls and I was looking to upgrade to a larger model and she proceeded to tell me what a crap job the previous installer did completely ignoring anything I had to say and then she hung up on me. After reading many of the reviews posted by other customers I’m surprised she’s still there. Unhinged doesn’t cover it. Due to her rudeness I will never use them again and dare to put me on the no service list, as I’ve read in other reviews, in the event I need a repair to my fireplace and I will call the better business bureau. Who do you think you are. Word of mouth is how most businesses thrive and you are taking business away from your boss. 12/19/2025 On another note, Sebastian called to confirm an appointment for installation of the surround. I mentioned to him about the remote not working correctly and my hesitation to report this to the office. He said he would take care of it when he came to install the surround. Not only did he install the surround he fixed the remote and all is well. He, as before, was very professional and answered all our questions in a polite and courteous manner. He is an asset to Firebird.

  Sebastian came out to service our gas fireplace and did a great job. He was knowledgeable and made the unit look shiny and new. Very professional and polite.

  Hired this company to replace fireplace logs and clean my fireplace. Logs were replaced but issues began with the cleaning. First of all, the technician they send out does not have a clue. He cleaned the glass and when he was done it looked exactly the same. I called the office and they sent him back to clean it again. Came back with the same cleaning product, it didn’t work. In the meantime, I had been asking about estimates for new glass and a new frame. I called 3 times and asked the same questions to be told each time that she would talk to the owner and get back to me the next day. The next day never happened. Ten days after my last call the receptionist called me asking me what I wanted. I thought it was a joke, no one could be this incompetent. Anyway, I explained the situation to her again and she refused to acknowledge that anything I said was accurate. I told her that I no longer wanted their help and I would go elsewhere. I didn’t get nasty or ask for my money back for the cleaning, although I should have. I did however tell her that I would leave a google review which would reflect how they operate and she proceeded to hang up in my face. She then left me a voice mail saying I was threatening them with a bad review but that’s what she would expect from someone like me. She ended the message by telling me to “get lost” and hung up. I have never dealt with such unprofessional, confused and discourteous individuals in my life. Their technical service and their customer service is heinous. I wish I would have read the reviews before going to this business. They have 2.7 stars, I would have never stepped foot in there. I called another fireplace store on SI, they came out the next day, cleaned my glass with a paste (and now it sparkles) and gave me a price for a new frame which they will be installing next week. If you want poor service from unprofessional people with attitudes who don’t know which end up then go here. If you want good reliable service then definitely go somewhere else.
