I purchased a remote receiver for my outdoor fireplace online through Amazon. It turned out to be defective, and even though I was already past the Amazon return date, Spotix agreed to refund the amount of the purchase. This is exceptional customer service, and I would certainly buy from this online retailer again.

I have installed 3-4 of the gas logs sets the last few years. Customers love them. Quality products. Customer service is very responsive and helpful. I’d recommend them to anyone considering the gas logs. The glass looks really cool too!

We purchased a fireplace insert from Fireplacesdirect.com and the order was managed through Spotix. We had measured the space and based on the unit description, we believed it would fit. When the unit arrived, it was way too large so we went back to the paperwork and realized that measurements were challenging to decipher as we were looking at a user manual for several units and we had gotten confused. We immediately began the return process and they informed us they would now be charging us for the shipping to us and the return shipping. They said they have experts to help with issues such as these and since I hadn't spoken with the reps about the specific sizing, they error was on me. I did speak to a rep prior to purchase and while we spoke about other components of the unit, they never brought up confirming size/measurements which - if they were going to charge for a customer error/confusion, would have been great. I recognized that they could charge for shipping back but tried to work with them to find a new unit through Spotix that would fit. It took WEEKS and multiple calls and emails with very little response for them to find a unit that was over $1000 more than the original and when I tried to speak with the manager to see if we could work out a way to deduct the shipping costs from the new unit (and left several messages with team members for him to call me) he waited to call me until AFTER they had processed my refund (with the total of both shipments deducted). While the customer service/sales reps were extremely friendly I often had to call them back after they said they sent me something and when they said they would return my call, they rarely did. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience with little communication or grace for a customer who was willing to continue with a purchase from them. I DO NOT recommend purchasing from them as they did not show any inclination to try and keep a customer or work with me to find something that worked (without me constantly calling to get information from them.)
