My husband and I had a wood burning stove installed by Pearce, Cole and Jason. They were so attentive and professional. Our wood burning stove is absolutely beautiful and we could not be happier with the results and customer service provided to us! Thank you so much!!

Southern Chimney and Fireplace has been doing my chimneys for years. Fair prices and quality work. Fixed problems others overlooked. Consistent staff, knowledgeable and the Ahern fireplaces they recommended were great. When we build it will be them from the beginning to get it right. And our house is not easy. 4fireplaces and a wood stove.

I just want to say these guys are top notch all the way around. We were nervous about doing such a big project but southern chimney absolutely exceeded our expectations. The framers, mason, and chimney guys all were all very professional and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for chimney work or even to build a fireplace from scratch like we did. Shawn and Russell thanks again!

I was in search of a reputable chimney and fireplace company for repairs and restoration for my fireplace. I made mutiple calls to companies where I live in Franklin NC and got no answers or returned calls. So I decided to look further out from where I live and found Southern Chimney and Fireplace in Clarkesville Ga. They not only answered their phone but also were willing to drive almost 1.5 hours to give me an estimate on my repairs needed to my fireplace. The technicians who showed up were top notch extreamly educated and any question I had on repairs were answered without hesitation. I was somewhat shocked on the cost for the repairs. I stopped by their showroom to look at fireplace inserts and decided to upgrade if I was spending a good amount of money. Russell greated me and was just like the technicians educated in his field after many questions I found the perfect fireplace insert. If you are looking for a chimney/fireplace company that answeres their calls and showes up and does top notch work then Southern Chimney and Fireplace is the company I would recommend.

We contacted Southern Chimney based on the scope of work advertised online. Before scheduling, I spoke with Anna and explained that we have a 1934 cabin with a clay (not mortar) chimney. I confirmed with her that this was something they were familiar with before moving forward. When the expert arrived, the conversation was one-sided — my husband and I could barely get a word in as he spoke over our questions. His immediate reaction after seeing the chimney was to say that he had never seen anything like it before. He then informed us that it would not be functional and that their company does not perform masonry work. Based on his brief visual assessment of the chimney, Cole informed us that in order to move forward with SCF, our option would be to install a wood stove/fireplace insert or pay to have the chimney rebuilt through contractors their company outsources, with a starting cost of $25k. I made it clear that we did not want an insert, and that we did not wish to proceed with an inspection—esp if the chimney ultimately needs to be rebuilt. It does not make sense to inspect something that needs to be torn down. Despite this, he continued with the inspection solely to charge the $295 fee. In the end, the scope of work described to us in advance was misleading and the tech — we were scheduled an appt & charged for a service they knew they couldn’t provide. We have since received a follow-up call and email regarding the situation, given the initial interaction with the technician and the resulting unnecessary charge, we feel it is best to work with a separate contractor for the chimney rebuild.
