  Had a fantastic experience with Charlie from Smoke Alert! He provided chimney cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and smoke detector checks for our home and was absolutely wonderful to work with. Charlie is professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to share helpful tips about using our fireplace safely and keeping our home protected from fire hazards. He was also very respectful of our home, carefully covering all surfaces and ensuring everything was spotless when he finished. It’s rare to find someone who combines great service with genuine care for their customers, but Charlie absolutely does. I highly recommend Smoke Alert and Charlie to anyone looking for quality, trustworthy service!

  I contacted Smoke Alert after personally cleaning out my dryer's exhaust vents did nothing to reduce the 2-4 cycles required to effectively dry our clothes. I suspected that the vent further along the system in our condominium must have been clogged, and I was unable to do this myself. Working with Smoke Alert was an excellent and painless experience. They were able to schedule me within a week of my call. Their technician Charlie was extremely knowledgeable. He immediately identified that the exhaust vent I had installed for my dryer was not up to code, and replaced it that day. His installation of this new vent was exceptional - using properly rated duct tape to ensure no heat loss at the connection points. He then also performed the dryer vent cleaning service I had -- and thank goodness he did, as the vent was indeed clogged! He then advised us on next steps to ensure the dryer vent dried correctly -- since it was so clogged that moisture was being absorbed and trapped from outdoors. My wife and I are excited to see the efficiency gains in our dryer once the vent has had adequate time to dry out thoroughly. It provides me additional reassurances that Smoke Alert is owned & operated by fire fighters. I have been fortunate enough to have learned a great deal about NFPA fire codes over the past two years as a part of my profession, and their adherence to the fire code and valuing safety over quick fixes speaks volumes to their business values and priorities. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Charlie about the fire code recommendations/requirements for our dryer system. I was not expecting anything other than our dryer issue being addressed, but I was happily surprised when Charlie pointed out that our smoke alarms seemed to be out of date -- and even happier when he suggested a model that would make our CO monitor taking up one of our valuable kitchen outlets obsolete. I have absolutely no doubts or concerns about working with Smoke Alert Home Fire Safety again in the future, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the services they offer.

  The service and professionalism from Charlie at Smoke Alert Home Fire Safety was fantastic! He was on time, kind, knowledgeable,answered our questions and walked us thru all the items we needed done. He worked on our fireplace and cleaned the dryer vent. He reviewed fire safety items with us as well which were good reminders to do. Charlie was great!
