Long overdue review! 15+ year review Over the last 15 years we have used simple energy for heating oil, heating repairs and servicing, heating installation, mini split installation and various electrical work. We have probably used them at least 20 times over the last 15 years. Their employees are always professional, friendly and informative. They clean up after their work and are very careful not to track any dirt through the house in coming and going and cleaning up. Heating oil pricing has always been competitive and we had a very challenging driveway in the winter (600 ft long, winding, up hill) and never had an issue. One of the owners actually delivered a couple times - not because they did not have a driver but because he likes to see first hand what the drivers deal with on a day to day basis. Yeah can’t make that up… They repaired our old furnace many times and when it came time to replace it, they sold us on a system that ended up using almost half the oil our old one did. We also used them several times for electrical work, outside light replacements, dishwasher outlet installed, hot tub sub panel installation etc. Never had to wait too long to get on the schedule (electrical places work weeks out- they have been more like a few days or a week) and once came in an emergency for an electrical issue within hours. Most recently they installed mini splits for us in a new to us house we bought - installation team was AMAZING! Caleb ran the team and was so friendly and professional. We are very happy with how the install went and the products they installed. This is the type company we want to do business with. Locally owned, always on their game and a joy to deal with! Thank you simple energy team!

I've been using Simple Energy for 7 years. It's a great company full of great people. I had to have the legs replaced on my tank. Scott in the office was fantastic to work with and listened to my concerns about the project. When the time came to have the work done, Dan and another Scott, got it done quickly and efficiently. I've always appreciated their service and the quality of their work, this experience solidifies it for me. I don't want to work with anyone else.

I had to use this company because I rented. They overcharged me a total of $886 over a period of 5 years. Most deliveries they said were delivered just were not (Starting with the very first delivery). Then they would report me to credit agencies for arguing the delivery. Told me I was mistaken, and dont know what I'm talking about. I had photos of the tanks empty before and after said deliveries. Then once the landlord aloud us to switch to another company, Simple Energy still came a filled another company's tank by mistake. I was forced to pay them to clear my credit score and get more propane and not freeze during the winter. My money was stolen and my welfare held hostage. Im with another company now for over a year, and couldn't be happier that my landlord was convinced to switch.

(Updated)| PASSED UNCONVERTED STOVE AND DRYER AS SAFE FOR 3+ YEARS *Update following connecting with Rob, the owner*: Rob S. reached out to my via call following my review and spoke with me regarding my issues. The solution we landed on resulted in my purchasing of the tanks located on my properties at no cost to me and my current balance with them was forgiven. I have since switched providers and thank Rob for his efforts to reconcile with me following this issue. (Original post with some edits) I have been a customer of Simple Energy for just under 4 years and my experience with them has been less than positive. Here’s a list in order of my grievances with this company: - 2 separate, 5-6 week periods without heating in my home. Old Empire heater, needed parts replaced. Simple Energy insisted the shipping would take WEEKS. The original part was damaged by one of their workers and didnt last a year before we spent another 5-6 weeks without heat. ONLY AFTER A SCATHING 1 STAR REVIEW DID THEY OVERNIGHT THE PART. - The Vice President of Simple Energy came by my home to discuss options for a new system. He apologized for the issues i’d experienced and offered a discount for when we upgrade our heating to “fix their mistake” and asked if that would be enough TO HAVE ME REMOVE MY ORIGINAL BAD REVIEW. I told him I would see what they offer. Fast forward a couple weeks: They offer a 10K install saying it would need to be 2 separate units and the “discount” was $750… I just had my personal heating guy come out and he installed a Rinnai FOR LESS THAN $3K and it heats the whole home. - THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMELS BACK: I couple weeks ago I requested Simple Energy move the propane tanks at my home while foundation work is done. After moving the tanks the technicians performed a Propane Safety & Leak check and the tech (who has been in my home repeatedly in the last 3 years) informs me THE STOVE AND DRYER WERE NEVER CONVERTED FOR PROPANE AND ARE A CO2/EXPLOSION HAZARDS. I thought the tech was wrong considering how long it had been without my oven exploding in my face, 4 different companies thought they were wrong too but turns out THAT HALF A DOZEN OR SO SIMPLE ENERGY TECHNICIANS MANAGED TO PASS THESE APPLIANCES AS SAFE FOR 3+ YEARS WITHOUT NOTICING. Cherry on top they charged me $190 to come convert the appliances after the fact as if they did not make the biggest mistake a propane company can make short of killing a person which by pure luck they did not. Had I not received the charge I likely would have sprinted away from this company but given the level of incompetence and greed, I have already begun the process for submitting requests for investigations to take place by the Attorney General & the BBB.

We had a leak in the pressure tank and we called the emergency service, Thomas Engelhart came as soon as he could, he fixed the problem very efficiently and gave helpfull advice to dry the wet basement. He displayed great work ethics.
