  No customer service. Our fireplace (Heatilator) was installed by them and we called to ask if they installed a fresh air vent. He continued to tell us thats optional. But our home is new construction and air tight which makes it hard for a fire to breath. The owner was suppose to get back with us to check our paperwork but he evidently decided not to. We went to Congo stove and received some good advice on what to do.

  Luck would have it my fireplace magically worked when the technician showed-up and I was still sent an invoice for $135.79 even though the technician did zero work and was there for less than 5 minutes. Called the office to see if they'd work with me to reduce it some, but they would not. Seems like bad business. Will not be using them for fireplace or garage door services going forward.

  Update - Royal fixed everything. Admitted the issue. We are good to go! Just had Royal out to check on our garage door that is not yet a year old installed on a new build. The garage door is buckling in the center top area where it is lifted and dropped. The worker had the audacity to immediately blame it on user error as if me and my family do not have the competency to use a garage door. Claimed that the only way the door would buckle is if the manual lock was in place. A quick google search will provide a plethora of reasons why a door would buckle including misalignment and poor quality among other reasons. The worker even mentioned the door is slightly out of alignment and that he did not recognize the name of the individual who installed the door. Why is all of this information important. First, they are trying to stick my builder with the full cost of replacement (I have a one year warranty). Second, without any evidence, they immediately blamed us for the malfunction and defect knowing full well that there could be other issues. Their solution is simply to replace the two buckled panels. But what may happen in 6 months if it happens again? I will be stuck with the cost and then finding myself taking this company to small claims court for their unprofessional work. If I were you, I would look elsewhere because this company seems to be dishonest. I’ll update if they change their tune, but as of right now I am not pleased.

  Been using these folks for nearly thirty years. Probably had them install over 40 doors, both in my businesses and my home. Same family has owned and operated this company ever since I have been doing business with them. We have had absolutely nothing but great service on every installation. One thing that very important that one might not think about is service after the sale. At our business, occasionally we may have someone hit the door, break out a window, or in some way make our premises unsecured. They have responded quickly on each occasion. Huge for us that they took care of every situation. Great family-owned business.

  No one LIKES for their nice garage door they bought a few months ago to come down hard and bust a door panel. However, that happened last week on a door that Royal Overhead Door installed at my home. I called, and was pleased to get a repair done courteously, quickly and UNDER WARRANTY! The service professional who visited and handled the repair said a small mistake was made in installation and the follow-up repairs are free of charge to me. It's not IF something goes wrong, it's when in this world - and I love a company that is honest and stands behind their work. If you need a garage door or a garage door repair, I highly recommend this awesome local business.
