  I called Tevis and a diagnostic visit was scheduled. The problem was that they subcontracted the service. The tech gauged me, charging me tons of money, not fixing my fireplace, and told me it would be $1,400 to fix it. I called Tevis 10 times to complain and I'm still waiting for a call back. This has happened twice now with this company.

  Good experience with Tevis (primarily Jeff) 1) Tevis is able to install propane plumbing inside for fireplaces … our previous propane supplier could not do that plumbing work so we would’ve had to use outside contractors . This was convenient. 2) had a last minute issue during the fireplace install (fireplace installed by Dr Mario’s … highly recommend ). With less than 24 hours notice Tevis sent an employee to collaborate with Dr Mario to ensure a proper and safe propane / fireplace installation . A nice upgrade in the future would be to be able to read propane tank levels from your phone on a website or app. But there is a gauge on the tank so this isn’t an issue for us . Finally - props to Jeff in fast and effective communication . He is a critical Tevis employee .

  Update. Someone came out and replaced the cover a few days after my call. Thank you. Changing review to four stars as I still had to go through all of this for something so simple. Driver broke the cover on the propane tank during delivery, also left fill cap off. I understand it broke because of snow/ice, that is fine. What I do not understand is the hassle I have to go through to get it fixed. I did not find it until a week or two later. I called Tevis and was told the driver left no notes and they had to call him and would get back to me. I never heard back so I called again to be told not to worry it would be replaced at the next fill. For my tanks that could be a year. While i was assured from the nice lady on the phone it wasn't a safety concern, I responded that it was cosmetically annoying. It shouldn't be hard for all the trucks that drive by for someone to stop and replace it. After she spoke to her manager I was told they will see what they can do. I will edit this review if it gets repaired. My overall experience with Tevis has not been good.

  I was recently told by my propane provider that I was too small to continue to service. I went to google and found Tevis. From beginning to end these folks have been amazing. I called, talked to someone at their office, who was professional and friendly, understood my problem and told me they could help. She called back 20 minutes later with an appointment for a site survey for the following Monday, and apologized that she couldn't get it sooner(this was a Wednesday), but the timing seemed perfectly reasonable to me. Jeff came to my house, he was knowledgeable, explained all the service options and even answered my questions about adding propane heat later this year. Fast forward 7 days, the guys come to install the equipment, explained everything and were very friendly and professional. They got everything setup and told me they would put me in for delivery ASAP but it could be up to a week. Literally the next morning, a Tevis truck rolls up, fills the tank and Im back to cooking. Great team all around!

  Tevis just did a tank install and stove hook up for us. They made the whole process easy. From the office staff, to the estimator, and the techs, great people to work with. My only regret is not calling them years ago.
