  Middle of November I called this company because my only source of heat was burning a lot of soot so I had to shut it down. Told 1st available appointment was in January. Made the appointment for 1/9/26 while having to use space heaters for heat. 1/9 arrives & the technician-Andy- says Hes at my road & unable to get up it, I will have to reschedule . I said I would come get him which I’ve done for any services needed & the technician wasn’t comfortable driving in which they were fine with. Andy states “I’m not doing that”. WOW-entitled Andy. Called the company & was put on hold, I had to answer a call incoming so I had to hang up on my hold, never got a callback. IF you use this company, you may want to check who your technician is-hopefully NOT Useless Andy! NOT getting service from Positive Chimney UPDATE: Mike Gamble owner of Positive Chimney called in the evening & following morning to apologize (wasn’t his fault) but he is a very stand up person & offered to pay for another technician to come out. I had already secured another company to come out which he also offered to pay for. Such a RARE level of customer service which is a dying art. Hopefully it gets fixed but if not I will give Positive Chimney a go (w/a different tech) THANK YOU Mr. Gamble!

  Recently I started having problems with my fireplace that I bought from a competitor of Positive Chimney & Fireplace. Knowing that I would not get a direct answer reaching out to my original supplier I called Positive Chimney & Fireplace for advice. They took the time to answer my questions and were knowledge able about the unit we were discussing and offered solutions on how to fix it. Even though I am more than an hour away from their location they just earned my business for any future purchases! Thank you.

  Positive chimney just completed an installation at our home and we couldn’t be happier! Everyone that we worked with was knowledgeable and professional. The mason work was exceptional and they really took their time to do a high quality job. It’s always great to find a company that deserves a five star review! Would strongly recommend.

  Great company and terrific service. We bought fireplace and chimney parts from this company in 2007 and after a tree branch destroyed parts of the chimney, we went back to Cadillac to buy replacement parts. The owner, Chris Richardson, personally waited on us and helped us get the right parts for the replacements. When two of the parts had to be ordered, Chris arranged for the delivery to the original store in Cadillac AND personally delivered them to a brand new store he is opening in Ludington for more convenient pickup nearer to our home in Pentwater! Great , friendly service. I highly recommend him and his new store in Ludington to anyone who is looking for fireplace and chimney parts and accessories.

  Positive Chimney installed a Jøtul F 500 V3 Oslo in our cottage west of Cadillac. We were very happy with the experience. The project and sales manager was knowledgeable and good at communication options and also very helpful in working out a time where I could be present for the install. The quality of the install work was top notch and the installation crew were courteous, professional and kind enough to entertain my questions while clearly communicating what they were doing. This included a few key points where we had to make decisions about finalizing the location of the stove and the chimney. The installed stove is working well and keeping us warm.
