There seems to be a disconnect between the service techs and the office for one thing. I had a service tech come out at the end of October 2025 to clean out my gas fireplace. While he was there I mentioned that I have a tankless water heater that was installed the year before. He never said I had to call and let their office know but told me I should be scheduling an appointment for them to come out and service it. I did tell him their company did not install it. Come December 2025 and my propane tank hits 0%. I call about 20 minutes before they close and spoke with Tiffany. She lectured me that I was supposed to inform them so they could update my account and I would have to pay a fee for the tech to now check for leaks since my tank hit 0. She said they would waive that fee this one time and told me to call back in the morning after I made the payment to their portal for the gas she quoted me. When I called this morning I spoke with a different person in the office who gave me the same speech. She then asked me three times if I knew how to read the gauge and told me it would take them 5-7 business days to send someone out. She told me they would call me and someone would have to be there to sign. I've never had to sign for a gas delivery in the 2 years I've lived here and used this company. It's also never taken that long to get a delivery, so I guess I will be without hot water now for up to a week and they clearly don't care. I'm going to also have to potentially miss work now to make sure I am home to sign for this delivery. The second person I spoke to also tried to get me to pay the $125 fee for the tech to check for leaks until I mentioned that Tiffany had said she would waive that fee. Apparently my account was never updated after I spoke with Tiffany so this person had no idea about that conversation. Thankfully it seems she is still willing to honor waiving the fee since I was not asked for additional payment. They require you pay their tech service fee before they will send anyone out. I learned that last time. This is the second time I've had an issue this year. Back in October when their tech eventually came out that appointment to have the tech come out on a Monday was cancelled even though I had made the payment Friday morning. I had to call the office and speak with the manager who sent over one of their techs in the area. I'm not sure if I want to wait for a third time having an issue.

Palmetto Gas was recommended by 2 contactors helping rebuild our patio. Super helpful office staff at Palmetto Gas, helping me select the right size tank and delivery service options. I was switching propane from another company and Palmetto Gas was able to install the new tank very quickly so other work being done at our home was not disrupted. The installation crew did an amazing job moving the new tank to the new location. They extended a new line attaching it neatly to the brick. They even located a small leak in the old line that was a definite hazard. Thank you for the excellent service.

Palmetto Gas has always been very professional when it comes service. I had a request I was told it would be the next week. I had a knock at the door it was the gas company coming to my rescue the same day I made the request. This is the type of service you want. I been a customer for over 47 years. Never had a problem with them.

Always on time, friendly staff, reasonable prices my only disappointment is having to make multiple trips to fill my smaller tanks pre pay first then have to make second trip inside to pay for re cert on tank, come on figure out how to fix this inconvenience. May I suggest for account holders end this prepay and then total charges when transaction completion.

The price of the gas has almost doubled in price. The ladies that answer the phone are not always friendly. I understand sometimes we have bad days. The young man who delivered my gas the other day was extremely nice, you need more people like him working for the company. I give two stars for price of gas. Three stars for office staff and five stars for the young man.
