I agree with other reviewers that Ortal provide absolutely no help! There is no point in spending a ridiculous amount of money if you cannot get any help or advise from the manufacturer. Dealers also do not want to service Ortal fireplaces as they are notoriously difficult to work on. I highly recommend you buy another brand! Ortal are not worth the grief

I absolutely love my Ortal fireplace! Although it was a bit more expensive than entry-level options, it has been totally worth the extra investment. I focused all my budget on the fireplace itself and spent less on the finishing work—such as mud, tape, sheetrock, and some Roman clay—and it looks spectacular! In the end, I ended up spending the same amount as I would have if I had chosen an entry-level fireplace with stone, a mantel, and a hearth.

Nothing against the people working at the Melbourne showroom — they were friendly and helpful. But, I've since found out Ortal manufactures its products in what they refer to as Israel, on land that many (myself included) view as occupied stolen Palestinian territory. I can’t support brands linked to ongoing human rights violations or the occupation of stolen land. Personal values matter, and for me, that means choosing not to support companies profiting from injustice.

AWFUL. I bought a 74" holographic electric fireplace from a company in Toronto 4 months ago for $13,500. This was supposed to take 6-8 weeks I was told to reach me. It took 12 weeks and by the time it came 2 of the display panels that display the fire in the fireplace were damaged. Simple fix, replace these. As of today, 4 MONTHS later I have been told these parts are on backorder. So basically an indeterminate amount of time so that someone is not held to a timeline for their arrival. If an electric fireplace is going to cost this much money I'd expect to have it a hell of a lot sooner than 4+ months down the road. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS, NOT WORTH THE PRICE. Certainly not getting what I paid for.

The incompetence of Ortal continues to be unfathomable, their reputation in our industry is sullied for reasons that Ortal continues to prove. As a fireplace dealer i can tell you that Ortal is poorly designed, and we have no support from the factory. We have over 50 burning units in our showroom, that are far better alternatives, for less money. Spend your money on a different product.
