  To say I am impressed is an understatement! I was in the market for a quality fire pit for sometime now (as my old truck tire rim which had served it's purpose for awhile just wasn't what I wanted anymore). I was looking for a quality made fire pit that would last a long time, but I also wanted the option to be able to cook over the fire. Everything that I looked at prior to finding the Sherman cooker looked cheaply made (thin sheet metal design), or just didn't look aesthetically pleasing to have in my backyard. Once I came across the Sherman cooker however I was intrigued. It looked extremely heavy duty, well engineered, and it had a lifetime warranty. As a guy who probably spends way too much time researching something before purchasing it, I was skeptical before buying because I really hadn't heard much about this fire pit cooker. I found a review of it up on YouTube though and after watching the review I was sold. My observations and assumptions of the product seemed to be accurate. Since receiving my cooker I have been nothing but pleased. My family and I cook on it atleast twice a week. Steaks, chicken, fish, you name it. The ease of regulating the cooking temperature by the fully adjustable clamp is awesome and probably my favorite feature and what sold me on the cooker! It makes cooking everything very simple, as you can easily adjust the grate to minimize the risk of overcooking your food. Also, this fire pit throws heat!! I can say that I have never been cold sitting around it, the cast iron holds and radiates heat extremely well! You don't have to worry about adding some silly looking heat diffuser. Lastly, I have been significantly impressed with the lack of smoke this pit produces. I use dry, seasoned hardwood and I get nearly zero smoke once the fire is going. The air vents they have engineered into the fire pit and into the plate do wonders to keep the fire hot and smokeless. Overall I am thoroughly impressed with this product and I would recommend it 10 times out of 10 if someone is in the market for a new fire pit!

  I love my Sherman Cooker! I use a mix of charcoal and very dry wood with little to no bark so when it's hot, there's very little or near zero smoke. Cooking on it is amazing! Steaks come off perfectly seared on the outside and pink in the middle and I love that sizzle!! The adjustable grill height give full control of cooking times and how much char you get, which is nice when doing veggies and other proteins. Everything has that nice smoky flavor when done and the smell while cooking reminds me of camping when I was a kid. When the cooking is done, we keep the fire going and place our chairs around it for a nice warm fire, which is really nice on these cool fall nights. The heat that this thing radiates is insane! No chilly feet and legs as the cast iron throws heat like crazy in all directions! It was definitely one of my best purchases this year and should last me my lifetime.

  The Sherman Cooker has been such a staple at all our racing events and family gatherings! It is definitely a conversation starter. Everyone loves to hear about the cooker, where it’s made, who created it, and what we use it for. It’s easy to set up and use. We love cooking everything from steak, veggie kabobs, chicken, bacon and eggs, s’mores and even fried Oreos on our Sherman Cooker. It’s quality is amazing. It’s constantly being moved from our house to our friends/family’s house, camp sites, and racing events. It’s the perfect fire pit to sit around and enjoy. I highly recommend it!

  This is hands down THE BEST quality outdoor cooker you’re going to find. Solid cast iron. Built to last a lifetime. Simple to use and aesthetically pleasing. My two boys love when it’s time to light it up and get to grilling over fire. Whether it’s charcoal or wood, this is the one you want. There hasn’t been a cookout since I’ve had it where it wasn’t a topic of conversation. If you’re not cooking on the Original Sherman Cooker, you’re missing out. It’s not just amazing to cook on, it’s one heck of a fire pit too! The family has sat around it countless times to enjoy a warm campfire without the inconvenience of all the smoke. The design was clearly a well thought out one. The airflow makes for a hot smokeless fire that the family can enjoy. I want to see one of these at every cookout I go to! It’s a shame I can only give it 5 Stars. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone that is looking to purchase an outdoor cooker.

  I was the first one to receive a Sherman Cooker on the books other than demo ones over the years. Let me tell you something. This thing is awesome. I am one of the most hardest / Abusive and roughest guy on things I own. This cooker is built like a tank. I used the cooker if not every weekend, every other weekend while racing this summer. Between bouncing around in the bed of my truck for 10,000 miles all summer, or leaving it outside during rain storms Or getting it bright red full of charcoal to warm up at night camping. I CAN’T BREAK IT! Never mind the amount of food we have cooked on it. People in the pits always know they are welcome to use it once it’s going, 100’s and 100’s of pounds of meat has been cooked on it and always taste better than any gas grille. I can’t recommend this Sherman cooker enough to anyone that camps, wants a controlled fire pit for their house or wants to cook tasty food on it. It’s simple, Maintenance free, durable and also has a lifetime warranty! If you don’t have one you don’t know what you’re missing!
