We have a 100-year-old home and realized it had been a while since we'd had the gas fire logs and the chimney checked. They did a complete inspection of the fireplace box, cleaned it all up spic and span, and even climbed up on our very high and very steep roof to check the chimney (and spotted an issue in one of the roof gutters that needs attention). All was very tidy and professional. The peace of mind of this service is priceless.

If you are looking for quality work; great ownership, and guaranteed friendly service, hire this company. I have been using them for years and they just did a complete chimney rebuild with a 10 year warranty waterproof sealant at my moms house. Best looking chimney on her block. Murphy's Fireplace / Santiam gutters did work for my mother. Here is her review: I felt there were many issues with the installation of gutters by this company. In my opinion the quality of their work was very poor. I would not recommend them to anyone.

This place is top notch from the owner on down to office staff. Had a company come out a year ago and look at both fireplaces and told us all we needed was a cleaning and a new cap. we did that and began to use our fireplaces. We noticed a lot of smoke coming out into our house, and decided to stop using it and called Murphy's. They came out and inspected it. Come to find out we had thermal occurrences that happened on both fireplaces, and if we continued to use them, we took the risk of catching our house on fire. They had to chemically treat both fireplaces to get all of the creosote off, and then put a camera down both chimney's to inspect. Sure enough, both had huge cracks etc. Thank goodness we had them do that. Once that was done, Nathan came out and resurfaced both chimneys, and built back the back fire wall. It took a little time to complete which was expected, but we couldn't be happier. We now have complete faith and comfort knowing our fireplaces are like new and SAFE!!! Thank you Nathan for being a true professional, and thank you to the entire Murphy's staff for making sure our home will not burn down due to us having a fire. You guys ROCK! We will use no other company but them going forward.

Deserves no stars. Called in for fireplace chimney sweep. Quoted me about $340. Told them go ahead and clean it. They never cleaned it. Days later get a $7300 bid to rebuild the fireplace. Called another and both men said fireplace was in good shape just needed cleaning and new cement cap and hood. Spent less than 1/7 Murphys bid to get work done inc cleaning. Got a $250 “inspection fee” bill from Murphys. Told them I never asked for this or was told about it. They were nasty said they would turn bill over to collection agency. Place wants to soak you for unneeded repairs. Stay away.
