I am disappointed with the service I received from the salesperson regarding my recent $14,000 fireplace purchase. At no point during the sale process was it mentioned that the thinnest screen frame/grace would NOT cover the 3/8" gap between where the current screen frame ends and where the fireplace frame/guide begins. Had I known this in advance, I would have opted for the widest grace. The new grace costs over $1000. The lack of communication on such an important detail has left me feeling misled and dissatisfied with the overall experience. Attached are pictures for reference.

The fireplace is beautiful, and the installation went smoothly. However, it was not disclosed during the sales process that the frame we selected would leave the tile exposed. Now, after already spending $14,000 on the fireplace, we are being asked to pay an additional $1,000 to upgrade to a larger frame that covers the tile. This important detail should have been communicated upfront. Dropped to 1 star, as you all see the owners response. Trying to say they did communicate it, but they did not.

Recently, I had the good fortune of finding Montana Fire Design to service and repair my two fireplace inserts in my home. As a newly implanted resident of Missoula I have discovered that in many cases trying to get service work done on your older home is very difficult and in some cases contractors are to busy to even honor their appointments. Montana Fire design was such a relief when it came to addressing my insert problems. I cant remember if I have ever had a better service experience. Cynthia was caring and great to work with. Both Joel and Shawn had to be the most professional and articulate contractors I've ever seen.

I had Joel put in a new gas fireplace a few years ago and I would recommend him in a second to do work for you. He and Cynthia worked with me on every aspect of what I wanted/needed to do and I love the result. The staff is great and the service is wonderful. I would say to anyone - pick these guys - you will not be sorry.

Montana Fire Design provides incredible service to its customers. Cynthia was wonderful to work with in designing and ordering our fireplace and Joel is the consummate craftsman. He went above and beyond to make sure everything about our new fireplace was perfect. Highly recommend this great business!
