  At a neighbor’s recommendation, we called McVety’s to assess and repair our propane gas fireplace. The technician Jack came today and he was amazing! His knowledge, focus, efficiency and genuine customer service mindset blew me away. Service like this is rapidly disappearing today and it was an absolute delight having Jack in our home. His expertise was truly impressive. I would never hesitate to use McVety’s- and in particular Jack- to address our fireplace needs going forward

  I purchased a home in 2019 that came with a propane stove that had been installed by McVety's. It started acting up this winter--turning off by itself and the house was always COLD. We had service techs come over a few times to try different fixes but it wouldn't last long. They finally solved what was wrong--each tech that came was so patient, kind and took extra care to clean anything that they saw was dirty such as the fan and front glass. They never charged me until the issue had been solved and I am so appreciative of their service and always fitting us in when the house was down to 50-degrees in January! Thank you all!!

  I just spent a few minutes reading the other reviews for McVety's Stove shop because I was surprised that there could be anything other than all five star reviews for this amazing place. After reading, I remembered that there's just that percentage of people that will be unhappy no matter what, that don't understand installation on a complex item, that were hoping to get something for free and that gleefully write bad reviews. I'm a builder and have been using and recommending this shop to people for years. I've never had a supplier or subcontractor that I loved working with more than these guys. They are incredibly professional, so knowledgeable and reliable, friendly and honest. Not only have they installed for my clients but they've also installed three units in my own home and I'm about to go back for my next build! They have installed incredibly high end units in multi-million dollar homes for me and also in tiny, old camps for clients and everyone is treated the same. I've broken things on my own and they've come back to help with nothing but good humor and a desire to always do the best job possible. From the sales people, to the installers and right on up to the owner, you will always be treated fairly and with respect, nobody will mansplain you to death and their pricing is beyond fair. Please disregard those very few unfair reviews and call the owner Peter directly if you have any concerns. And to be COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT, this review was fully unsolicited and very much earned.

  Absolutely outstanding service at a very competitive price. I had a problem with my propane fireplace and it took two visits to get it fixed. The second time around, Pete came to my house himself, and in 40 minutes he took care of the problem. I was expecting a high bill -- two visits plus parts -- and it was not the case at all. This speaks highly of this business' integrity. Also, Pete was always responsive, professional, and accommodating in his emails. Lastly, when I called to pay the invoice by credit card everything was handled professionally and respectfully. I'm one happy customer and I will call them again. Highly recommend.
