  Couldn't ask for a better experience. Lou from Mcnamara arrived early, laid out the drop cloths, completely hauled over this mendota gas fireplace, and walked me through all its functions and features. Pretty sure Lou left the area cleaner than it was when he arrived... very knowledgeable, thorough, and works efficiently.

Lou, the technician, was exceptional—he arrived right on time, was friendly and personable, and went above and beyond in diagnosing the issue with my fireplace. Lou is truly one of the most knowledgeable fireplace technicians I’ve encountered. He didn’t just swap out parts; instead, he pinpointed the underlying problem, explained his approach clearly, and recommended solutions focused on longevity and efficiency. His care and respect for my home were evident throughout the service. Marshall, who handled the parts and communication, was also outstanding. He took care of ordering the necessary specialty parts and made sure to keep me fully informed about pricing, delivery times, and next steps from the very start. I appreciated the transparency and felt completely comfortable and confident with the process. Overall, both Lou and Marshall ensured everything was smooth and worry-free.   Lou, the service technician replaced the pilot assembly on my 20 year old Mendota gas fireplace. He was very pleasant and efficient and also took care to protect my floors and rug during his work. He also took the time to assemble the logs, coals and embers to provide an attractive flame and stayed until he was sure the the blower turned on properly. I am very pleased with Lou's work and with the scheduling process. The price seemed high, but to do work on a gas fireplace like this requires skilled and knowledgeable technicians. This is the first time in 20 years that I needed service on this fireplace so all in all, I'm good with it.

  From start to finish, our experience with this fireplace service was excellent! Lisa in the office was so pleasant and helpful, making the scheduling process easy and stress-free. Marshall guided us through ordering the logs with great knowledge and patience. And Lou, our service technician, was right on time, kind, and incredibly professional. He did an amazing job replacing the logs, cleaning the system, and making sure everything was working perfectly before he left. What a wonderful team to work with — courteous, skilled, and truly customer-focused. Highly recommend them!

  Had a wonderful technician, Lou, who got my fireplace working again quickly! Because placement of the pilot light is hardly optimal, it's almost impossible to be seen.which is why I called for service. Fortunately, it basically only needed the solenoid battery changed and Lou cleaned some carbon off the logs. Having paid almost $800 last year for service, it's my opinion that McNamara's service calls are vastly overpriced. Lou, however, was terrific in every way. Unfortunately, because they are one of the few who sell this particular fireplace, we are kind of at their mercy pricewise.
