    Beware of this dealer!! We ordered (and fully paid for) a Heat & Glo fireplace insert to replace our 30 year old model on a Tuesday, and were told it would arrive by Friday. Their installer scheduled the install for about 3 weeks later (December 4). He showed up and removed our old fireplace insert and went to get the new one - but somehow it was NOT at the shop even though their “paperwork” said it was there - no clear explanation given for the screw up. They’ve now had our money for about a month, they screwed over the installer because he had to reschedule our installation and wasted his day, and all they’ve offered us is a $300 partial refund which is what they’re offering anyone in the current Valpak advertising (and less than 5% of what we paid for the unit). Now we have a hole where our fireplace used to be, and the holidays upon us, and no guarantee of anything. If they didn’t already have our money we would be giving someone else our business! I definitely recommend you save yourself the headache and heartburn and look elsewhere for your fireplace and patio needs.

    We came to the store on the recommendation of our contractor as we are doing a conversion of a wood burning fireplace to gas. Dan was a pleasure to work with, with 25+ years of experience he was able to anticipate most questions and answered every question we asked with thorough responses. When we mentioned related topics he knew and understood those as well and gave straight and honest answers even recommending a product they don't carry to remove the buildup of incomplete burning from inside the fireplace. Pricing was reasonable and fair for the quality of products and knowing I am dealing with a reputable dealer that is going to be around and able to support what they sell well into the future.

    Bought a Jotul F 45 V2 Greenville wood burning stove last year. We couldn't be more well pleased. Dan (salesman) was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. The owners were Honorable and gracious, and the installer (James) was competent, experienced, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

    Purchased 9/15/25. Pilot light will not stay lit. Attempted fix by installer the day after install and second attempt by Heat Exchange unsuccessful. Spoke with the owner 4 days ago who promised to have the techs return. No phone call or communication from tech or owner.

    I stopped in here to look at purchasing fireplace tools. I found something that I thought I might like and would work. The front of our fireplace where you would set the tools is uneven because it’s made out of stone, so it’s a little more difficult to find some thing that properly fits the space plus it’s not very wide. I purchased these tools, and when I got them I asked about their return policy, knowing that it may not work. They said no problem, returning as long as the item is not used, and in the same condition as it was when I purchased it and returned soon. The item did not work well for my space so I did wind up returning it Six days later, approximately. However, when I got home, and I happen to look at my receipt at the bottom, they have their return policy, and it says that it might be subject to a restocking fee. No one had mentioned that when I asked about the return policy In store. I was a bit nervous about going into return it because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of a restocking fee that I hadn’t been told about verbally. When I went into the store, I was greeted nicely, and the return was given in full. The staff was very welcoming and kind. I was pleasantly surprised with the great customer service at this store. I would recommend this company.
