  We didn't purchase anything, but we had just moved into a home with two ventless gas fireplaces in it and not knowing anything about them, turned to Hearth and Home for answers. We stopped into the store and was greeted by Greg Kizer. He took the time to address our concerns, reviewed pictures we had sent, and called and text several times until we knew and felt comfortable about using it. If you go in, ask for Greg, he will do right by you. Thanks again Greg, we appreciate all the help!!

  My experience was very good from start to install. Called many places and left messages to give me a quote. Mike came out right away and was able to get me a quote quickly as well as affordable. Install was a breeze they were here less than an hour. Very professional and didn’t leave a mess. We converted a wood burner to a gas log set. Highly recommend.

  Hearth and Home Design Center went above and beyond to make my wife and I very satisfied customers. We had an outdated existing gas log fireplace replaced with a direct vent fireplace, had it bricked to the ceiling, and added a hearth. The fireplace installation crew were friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. The masonry crew were very polite, did an outstanding job, and took a lot of pride in their work. They dusted and cleaned. Everyone has been amazing. Dan B., the sales representative, knows his product, made multiple trips to our home to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. Dan returned every phone call and text within minutes of me contacting him. That is rare these days. If anyone is thinking of using Hearth & Home, do it, you won't be sorry.

  I would love to give Hearth and Home South Bend a million stars, but unfortunately, I'm limited to 5. I contacted them thru email to see about availability of some Green Mountain Grills. They told me they had a couple in stock immediately, but due to life, I was unable to get to their shop during normal business hours for a month or so. The email respondent said that one of their employees come close to my area on a weekly basis. 1 day after contacting, Dan, packed up a grill, I paid over the phone, and he actually drove it over to my work and helped me load it into my Jeep. The customer service I received from Sheila, Dan, and the team at Hearth and Home has superseded any other service I've received anywhere else. I will gladly do business with them again and have suggested their shop for their next grill purchase!!

  Greatly disappointed in the rude customer service from sale agent. Receive much better service at the three other local fireplace shops.
