The owner made an appointment for a fireplace tune-up. At the time the work was to be done I got a phone call saying there would be a slight weather delay and I would get a call back. There never was a call back from H.E. A. Living, and several attempts to contact the store when I left a message were ignored. I visited the store 6 days later and the owner pretty much ignored me. There was no apology for letting me sit around for an entire day when he said the appointment would be later that day. Owner wanted me to make an appointment next month. I will go elsewhere for service or sales and would not recommend this vendor.

We highly recommend HEA. Serendipitously, we stopped in to HEA as we were passing by and had a fabulous customer experience. The store is a wonderful example of small town hospitality. We were not pressured to buy and for that reason we did! They were incredibly knowledgeable about the different patio furniture options and helped us find the perfect pieces that fit our style and our home's unique needs. We were particularly impressed with the craftsmanship of our new set – the detail and quality are truly outstanding. The customer service and communication for delivery was exceptional. The delivery was seamless and the gentlemen, who was solo, needs exceptional praise for such a high standard of service.

If you are in the market for new fireplace gas logs (or replacements), highly recommend Colonial Fireplace & Grills, a part of HEA Living, 1480-2C Quarterpath Road. Williamsburg, VA 23185. They have a large display of logs and some fireplace glass doors. Barry is very customer-oriented, and followed up to ensure I was happy with my purchases. Tim, his technician, is extremely knowledgable, did an excellent job removing my old gas logs, cleaning and painting my firebox, installing my new gas logs along with a new set of glass doors. They also offer an annual (or as required) maintenance service (no contract).

After having our deck area re-done it was a must to have only the best outdoor furniture available. I must say after visiting H.E.A Living Patio & Hearth it was obvious they were the one to go with. Barry provided the education needed for best application. My wife & I are pleased with the decision we made. Trust we live almost an hour away from the store but Barry and team treated us as though we lived around the corner. Tim delivered all items ordered and answered all questions without us feeling like he was in a hurry. Hands down best selections, pricing and service around.

Relocated to Williamsburg recently and was blessed to have Barry and his team , Mike & Tim, professionally install a high volume gas line, gas fireplace, and comtinuous gas hot water heater. In addition, Mike set aside extra time to fix a complicated plumbing problem left behind by another contractor while Tim installed the fireplace. Their work was truly exceptional and Barry could not have been more accommodating and honest through the purchases, repair and installation process. And, by the way, did I forget to mention that Barry inspected my crawl space in order to assess any foundation problems. He assured my that there was no problem and that we should not proceed with helical pile lifts costing $17,000 - $30,000 dollars . Barry’s recommendation was confirmed by TSG Engineers saving us a great deal of money and heartache. Soon they will be installing some new bathroom vanities , sinks, and recessed lighting too. This team is simply amazing and, as such, receives my highest level endorsement to any prospective customer.
