Very friendly, helpful and delightfull couple run the business. We drove up from Clear Lake to pick up a PE wood insert. I'm really glad we chose Gull Lake Fireplace. By far the most friendly and helpful of several places we contacted. They made sure we had everything we needed and the knowledge to do the install right. I would make the hour and twenty minute drive again if I was ever to buy another fireplace.

I had contacted them to arrange a purchase and said that I didn't want to drive up from the cities unless we had a similar understanding on pricing. I borrowed a trailer, drove 2.5 hours to Baxter and was told sorry, I can not accept that offer. Then when pushed the owner flat out lied and said that she had been offered more by someone else, 150 more. The problem is the party she mentioned is a friend who when I contacted him, said he absolutely did not make the offer she said he did. When I confronted the person I originally dealt with he said that he never said "We have a deal". I guess saying I don't want to drive 2.5 hours, spend money on gas and waster 5 hours of my day unless you would consider my offer, and having him respond with come on up was just their way of pulling a bait and switch. The best part was the owner acting like 5 hours of my night wasn't a big deal. I am ok with misunderstandings and run my own business but callous approach and flat out lying is unacceptable business practice. Since the owner said the drive down to the cities is no big deal maybe people in Baxter should consider coming to the cities for their fireplace and brick needs.

Never purchased a thing. We went to view fireplaces in their showroom. Walked in and noticed the employees were not wearing masks. I told my husband we needed to leave because of the no masks and the lady at the desk said, “No, no masks. We are over that”. We turned around and left. I won’t shop where the staff doesn’t care enough about me or my loved ones to wear a mask!

Went there to talk to "Kim" she was very nice and willing to help me out finding information on my Pelpro Pellet Stove. (They don't make these particular pellet stoves any more). You Can find some parts for them. Others not so easy. Kim said she would do some checking on the parts and prices for me. Took notes very willing to help. Thank you Kim!

They know what they have, and they know what they are doing! Bought a soap stone stove a couple weeks ago and have no regrets. They sold me the chimney system and talked me through the instal. Our family loves it!
