      John Rice installed an electric insert for my mother. After several weeks of use we notice black soot all over the walls and windows. She even had the wall debris analyzed and it indeed was soot from the fireplace. The intake from the blower was picking up soot from the fire box and distributing it into the interior of the home. Several other professionals have confirmed that the insert is the source of the black mess all over the interior. John will not take responsibility or return calls. Not only is my mother stuck with the cost of the clean up and hiring someone to do the job correctly but, also the health concerns. I'd expect more form a so called professional.

      From our first few minutes of entering the business we knew we could trust this company. Seth was friendly and knowledgeable about the products and we were extremely pleased to have such a positive sales person. The fireplace insert was installed quickly and Seth, the installer, answered our questions about its use and a lot more. Not enough stars in the rating system for this business. PS- the price was more reasonable than the others we checked. Q and J

      I have an old gas insert in my fireplace that hasn’t been serviced for over 20 years. Seth, the one who came to service it, was very knowledgeable, helpful and informative. He was very thorough and did ln’t try to get me to buy a new one and helped me understand more about how it worked. He was friendly and even cleaned up the little mess he made. I am a customer for life! And with Grizzly’s expertise I think my insert, that has lasted at least 30 years, may keep going further beyond its life expectancy. Thank you Seth and Grizzly Fireplace.

      In 2013 we were renovating my small, new old house. In the Fall I bought a cute gas wood stove lookalike, which cost plenty because I needed them to install it. The date was set for the installation, but they never showed up, and I went through a cold spell in the single digits with a radiant space heater. The blessings were that it was early in the season, and no wind, so we did ok. No response to cell phone calls. I called the store and the person who answered told me that they had gotten two elk and were home butchering them! Yes it id get installed, properly, but it now occurs to me that they should have known that this heater, in an uninsulated house, in repeated February cold spells with wind, would be inadequate, not that I would have listened... I didn't confront them about this because I thought it might imperil the job of the person who answered the phone. Now that I read the other reviews, it is obvious that they just don't care! Sorry I had to give them 1 star...

      John Rice the owner will not return phone calls and is conveniently not available when you call or go there in person. He is quick to take a down payment and never respond. Shop elsewhere.
