Had an old wood stove removed, old clay chimney removed and new stove and chimney installed. Was overall happy with the service, and products! Took a little while to get the parts in, but they don’t have control over that. I will be having them do the yearly clean out as well and they earned a lifetime customer. Also, they came in a couple grand under the other guys. So that was nice!

My wood stove was over 10 years old and my chimney blocks were cracked. After getting 4 different estimates Gorton's was competitive and the most comprehensive. After a complete rebuild of my chimney from the roof line up and a new stainless steel liner it was then covered with actual cut stone. Work was completed in 2 days. I liked it so much I then purchased a new wood stove from them to be installed this week. I would advise anyone to give them a call before having any chimney repair done.

Giving two stars because despite it being busy season, they came out sooner than any other place around town. However, will not be doing business again, it is clear I was taken advantage of. Was told it was a high possibility parts needed for my unit would be obsolete since it is "20-25yrs" old. If the part could be found after some research, the repair could cost $800-$1,000. The part needed, a thermopile, is about $20 and took about 45 min to switch. Was told we may have to look into getting a new unit which would be $4000 - $8000. Owner flew back from Guam and we now have a working fireplace again. To top it all off, I was told it would be $185 for the "diagnostic", was sent an invoice for $195 and woke up the next day charged $201. I reached out as soon as I saw the charge on December 17th to ask for an explanation and still have not heard anything back. Beyond disappointing.

I have no prior experience with this company but the one interaction I have had with this company was very negative. I was behind one of there company trucks at a stop sign when he put his truck in reverse mind you the trucks reverse lights did not work and he failed to look behind him before putting the truck into reverse and failed to here me honking to remind him that I was behind me he then proceeded to hit me and then stated he didn’t see me nor hear me I’m not sure how this happens but I am very frustrated
