  Despite not making a purchase, the staff at Fireplace Specialties provided excellent customer service and expertise. They were able to diagnose my grandparents 20+ year old wood stove and suggest parts to bring it back to life. They even walked us through how to fix it once we found the part. They are genuine and caring people who made us feel welcomed and valued.

  We visited Fireplace Specialties shopping for gas fire logs for a wood burning fireplace. We wanted a fire but without all the work and mess. Kirsten showed us several vented options on a wall display wall. She lights any units you like so you can see how they will look while off and while burning. We were scheduled for delivery/set-up in Dec, but due to a cancellation, Tim was able to install the unit before a severe freeze predicted after Thanksgiving. He was on time, friendly and efficient. This gas log unit is more substantial, more realistic, works better, and puts out more heat than the gas logs in our previous home. The logs come with a lifetime warranty. Tim showed us how to operate the unit and instructed us on trouble shooting excessive soot buildup, routine maintenance, and general fireplace and gas safety. This company installs wood-burning fireplaces with modern chimneys. They sell and install vented and non-vented gas log units, electronic starters with remotes for gas logs, fireplace screens, glass door units in many styles, & fireplace accessories. They also sell gas grills, Weber and other brands, outdoor fire pits and fire tables. They have modern-styled electric fireplaces that simulate fire on display and much more. We are pleased with their top-notch service and would recommend them highly.

  Chris came out and "looked at" my vented fireplace insert and a second or two after he had it all apart, he rehabilitated it with shop vac, spray paint, and a ton of know-how. He got it working with ease and then proceeded to instruct me in the care and use of the fireplace. Oh yeah - I had asked if the front glass could be cleaned or replaced. Chris spent a good 20 minutes off-and-on outside making it look like there was no glass at all!!! Five stars is not enough!! Bravo and job well-done, Mr. Chris!

  Chris found where our gas leak was and suggested an excellent plumbing company to fix it. We needed a new log /burner unit and he came in a timely fashion and got us hooked up and running!

  We needed a fireplace worked on that we bought from this store. It’s no longer under warranty but since we live 90 min away they want to charge a $225 service call. If they have to order a part and come out again, it will cost us ANOTHER $225 service call. So each time they come, even if it takes 3 times before it’s fixed, that’s $225 service call each time plus labor charged. I KNOW it doesn’t take that much gas to drive here each time. I don’t mind paying one fee but it should be one fee per job until it’s fixed. We will be buying another burner for our fireplace elsewhere. They wouldn’t even work with us on the service cost. Doesn’t sound like they care much for the customers. Besides that, WE brought the burner to them (the entire piece) to work on and all they did was clean it. We get it back, hook it up, it lights one time then never lights again. So you’d think they would try to work w us since they didn’t fix it first time.
