  Recently, I required service on my gas fireplace. I was fortunate enough to have Ken as my service technician. Ken was delightful. He was quite knowledgeable, and thorough patient with my many questions and very respectful of my home. I feel quite comfortable recommending Emmett’s to my friends and family.   I made an appointment with Emmett's weeks ago to have a technician fix my gas logs. The pilot kept going off, and eventually quit working altogether. Ken called the day before, and asked if he could come early - how often does that happen? His diagnosis was that I had a loose connection on the thermocouple, and a sticky shaft on the control knob. He offered two alternatives: he could clean them up, and it would work again, or he could replace the valve unit and thermocouple for a better long-term fix. I chose the latter. Ken's expert service and work ethic were a joy to behold. He cautiously disassembled everything, cleaned up the logs, vacuumed the entire hearth, and carried the assembly outside so he could use the tailgate of his pickup as a workbench. Then he replaced the sand and added new mineral wool for aesthetics. Once the job was complete, he briefed me on the operation of the new controls, picked up after himself, and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Emmett's for all your fireplace needs.

  Our fireplace is less than a year old and has numerous rust spots. We’ve called and sent emails to Emmett’s in Waterford . 2/13/2024 the repairs were completed. I added additional photos, and we’re satisfied with the results. Updated my rating. Thank you Emmett’s of Waterford.

  Absolutely horrific treatment by the Store Manager in Waterford. I had my fireplace serviced last year and when I called this year, he told me he couldn't tell me what they've done for me before. He said we keep none of those details and I was merely an entry on a calendar. I was puzzled and asked a few more questions, of which he interrupted me, told he was the store manager and had no information he could offer; He was incredibly rude, nasty and unhelpful. I was shocked at the treatment, as all my family uses this company. We all will never again.
