Crooks! They charged us money to have someone come out to look ant our fireplace. No big deal. They needed to order a part and the consulting fee was supposed to go toward the service. They made us pay again for them to install the part. We agreed because we had paid for the part and just wanted the fire place to be fixed. They installed the part and the fireplace was still not working properly. We reached out after a few days to have the tech come out again. It gets scheduled and no one shows up. I reach out and they said the tech had an emergency. Okay, these things happen. I follow up and follow up for a reschedule and no one ever got back to me. Now they are closed and I hope they never open again to scam more people. They do not deserve to be in business.

Almost killed us! Had a gas leak, PGW came out. Dreifuss installed our fireplace with a copper line to the unit! Illegal in Philadelphia because the gas erodes the copper. It took about 5 years. I would give zero stars if possible. If they installed your fireplace, have pgw inspect it immediately.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a new gas replacement fireplace in October. They came in January and installed. Was told by the installer that the fireplace does not come with a remote or a cover (attached photo, wires everywhere) for the controller. Reached out to the manufacturer and was told that they absolutely do. So we were basically lied to. Since the box it came in did not have an instruction manual for the installer we now assumed that we received a returned unit with parts that were missing. Finally spoke to the owner (after two weeks of unreturned phone calls) and asked for the unit to be completely replaced. The Owner told us they would take care of everything and that their customers were very important to them. “We will make this right, our reputation is everything to us”. So now three months later we have not heard any update. They have had our $$ for 5 months and we are still unable to use the fireplace. I would recommend that you do not use them for any fireplace needs.

Had an awesome experience with Dreifuss! They’re family oriented & Veteran owned which is always a plus. But very small, so things might take a little longer then most, but it’s totally worth it. The people there are super friendly, honest, and really care about making sure you’re happy. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure everything was done right. If you want great quality and don’t mind a little extra wait for top-notch service, I’d definitely recommend them. Good people who actually care about their customers!

When our ventless fireplace unit died, everyone we asked recommended Dreifuss in Philly. Now we know why. They've been in business more than a century! Kevin and Lloyd provided honest, informed advice on our replacement options and cost, with no upselling. Freddie and Jose were pros at installing the replacement unit and explaining its operation. They were a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond. They moved our shutoff valve from a corner to a more convenient location.
