Update 9/9/25: Leland sent my husband an email today calling me dumb as rocks! Please read on: We attempted to do business with All Valley Backyard by ordering a spa cover that they said they would be able to get for us and deliver. I dropped a check off to Leland in person so we could get the spa cover as fast as possible. As the weeks ticked by, my husband would check in about when the delivery would happen. A month after delivering the check, we received an email from Leland that informed us: "Please note that when you ordered the spa cover, the covers were available but would take time...now, as of yesterday (or Monday), they sent me a notice that said covers are now vinyl with a 3-year warranty (just like the SunStrong) and that it would be at least (maybe more) 90 days before they could sell covers for replacement... all covers are now only for new spas." (ours was an older spa) "You can easily call Jacuzzi / Sundance and ask about getting a replacement (OEM) cover. They'll tell it like it is. No games, my friend... and we don't like returning money, so... but it's the ethical thing to do." My husband and I were aghast that Leland would act like he was doing us a favor by refunding our $800.41. The nerve of this guy! My husband called him and said we'd be picking up our refund check the next day and asked Leland to verify the hours they were open so there would be no problems. Being told they opened at 10 AM, I showed up at approximately 11:00 AM and the store was closed! I called the store later and spoke to Leland, who instantly had an attitude with me and barked that he got there at 11:00 AM, insinuating that I was lying. He finally relented and said that his employee Eric was supposed to open the store at 10 AM but didn't arrive as scheduled. I then had Eric deliver the check to our mailbox because I was too peeved to go back to this store. Leland is rude and absolutely disrespectful, and I wouldn't wish this store on anyone. I encourage you to read the negative reviews on Yelp and you will see that Leland responds viciously and comes hard for the reviewers and basically disparages them or flat out calls them liars. Not a good guy.

Walked in and in 20 minutes or less I walled putty with a paid invoice and had my fireplace modernized that evening! Talk about quick and painless! Thank you! Pictures are from before and after.

Called Desert Fireplaces in the need of a part for my fireplace. First I called Napoleon direct and they referred me to Desert Fireplaces. I told them I have the model and serial number of my fireplace and the name of the part I need, I was told by the gal who answered the phone that she would need to send an employee to my location to collect the information so they could make money. I said I am more than willing to pay for the part and her response was "I need to get paid to do the research for the part" and my response was well I will not be doing business with your firm with an attitude like that and she hung up on me. has this world come to the point where we have to pay a business to do research on parts for products they sell and represent ? [PART 2} IN RESPONSE TO "OWNERS" RESPONSE BELOW .... Its great to see your response below, it would have been great to have this communication when I called Desert Fireplace and as I stated on the phone to your employee who hung up on me when after hearing you pre pay for a part number policy, I stated "well I will not ever be giving you any future business" and also in the email to you that I sent out of courtesy to contact me and discuss the situation further, however you chose not to contact me on the phone I did explained now 3 times very clearly that I did indeed contact Napoleon Head Office (,spoke to a Sarah) she was fantastic but they do not sell parts directly and they gave me your contact number. I had the model number, the serial number and the exact part description/name and that is all I was given so stating I was not willing to put in the time is inaccurate and false and it would be fantastic if we could see these diagrams online so we could give you exactly what you need so you can order the part and make money as that is how businesses work. Why do you even sell parts if your company that makes money from selling parts is not willing with all the data I collected to go to a diagram that you have availability to I don't and help with placing the order. I am sure readers will see right thru your response below and find all the more reason to just buy elsewhere. I called the next closest Napoleon dealer and what a difference in service, the part is ordered and I was taken care as any customer should have been who was directed to your business from Napoleon Head Office. I don't often give 1 star reviews but in this case your company deserves it and its a CLEAR statement that if you need help with parts on Napoleon products don't go to Desert Fireplaces unless your happy with prepaying to have them access the diagrams and help you with getting a part number that can't be found elsewhere.

Horrible experience! He sues everyone! I hired his company to finish a fire pit. His employee, Chris quoted a price over the phone and doubled it on the invoice(my fault because I should have gotten it in writing)! I paid it by check written to the company and mailed the check and his employee then deposits the check into his personal account and the owner sues me!! I'm sure he will have a snotty response to this review and get defensive as he did to all other negative reviews. His employee rips him off and I had to change my bank account because of this company. Instead of asking if I had been reimbursed (which I still have not) He then takes me to court. He is nasty, do not deal with this company. There were 8 other people there that he was suing!!! Guy is not right.

Chris is amazing! He helped us find the perfect equipment, coordinated the installation of our island barbecue at our new home, and even came over to the house to help us put together our new gas fireplace. Chris is personable, knowledgeable and professional. We cannot recommend him highly enough!
