  Fantastic company. We had someone else come checkout our fireplace. After paying $300 for a “cleaning” and a quote, they said it would cost $2,000 to fix our fireplace because it needed a new thermocouple and entire new gas control valve. They wouldn’t give us the part information or cost breakdown. So we called Degrees Above for a second opinion. The owner, Justin, had our fireplace fixed in the same visit by properly cleaning it, no parts needed. All we paid was the one hour service fee charge. He also educated us on how it all works and what we can do to keep it running each year. It’s nice to see there are still business owners with morals and values. Thank you, Justin!

  Justin, the owner of Degrees Above, was an amazing person to work with. He went above and beyond for us. We sent him on a wild goose chase wanting a certain stain for our cabinets. He made sure the end product was perfect and met our expectations. While working our build he was very pleasant to sit and talk to on a personal level. By the end of the build, I would say Justin became more than a contractor, he became a good friend. We enjoyed every bit of the process with him even, though there was rough start with trailer issues. Justin lost a day of work, but ended up working a Saturday to make up for it (which they typically don’t do builds on weekends) That being said, he worked what he needed to, to make up for t. The end product turned out truly amazing, and we couldn’t ask for a better job. He turned a home, that we didn’t like or want to be in forever, into a home that we absolutely love. Thank you Justin, and your team, we love our new addition to our home.

  We absolutely love our new fireplace! Justin at Degrees Above Fireplace was awesome to work with. He communicated with us throughout the whole process, arrived when he said he would be there, allowed us to be involved in certain aspects (lighting), and went above and beyond when we made a few changes along the way. Most importantly, they not only installed the fireplace but built the entire stone surround, cabinets, and shelves. The end result was nothing short of amazing and this is now our favorite room in the house! I highly recommend Justin and his team.

  This company is first class. They did the design work and installation for a reasonable price. And--get ready--THEY WERE ON TIME EVERY SINGLE DAY. They told us each day when they left what they would do the next day and what time they would arrive. Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. It was the best experience that I have ever had with a contractor. They put up with the dogs and a chatty pair of old folks. Oh, and the fireplace is great. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

  We picked Degrees Above after looking at all the other fireplace places. We liked the Regency brand, it had the best flame pattern, the best looking iron front and the coolest remote. Justin was on time or early all 3 visits. We asked him to remove our old wood stove and give us time to install new tile before installing the new insert. He and his son do all their own work, which we liked. He has a lot of personality and knows his business better than some of the others we had give us bids. Price was competitive too. We find we prefer using our new fireplace insert instead of the furnace. Will use him again if the need arises. It is good to find someone who still works hard and cares about their reputation. Thanks for doing us a great job, Justin!
