Came in for product support of a fireplace that we purchased and was installed by Darden a few years ago. Was only given a piece of paper to call service techs in the area. As they only do sales and installation. Why sale a product if you won’t provide customer support?????

We purchased flooring in 2022 for our remodel. Mike Regian helped us pick through everything and explain the process. I had a third party do the installation when we laid the floors due to a friendship. Fast forward to fall 2023, the vinyl plank flooring we picked was cupping/bowing and separating at the seams. I contacted Mike and asked if there was anything we could do. A representative from Darden and the manufacturer came out and looked over everything to see about filing a warranty claim. After a few months of waiting and not hearing much I reached back out to Mike. He continuously messaged and called the manufacturer to make sure we were taken care of after receiving a letter from them stating the claim was denied. His persistence and care about the customer is what finally led to us getting the flooring warrantied. When I picked the flooring up Mike and I discussed installation options and prices. Mike wanted to make things right due to the issues with the manufacturer. The guys showed up two weeks later and went to work. They were professional, polite, and very hard working. They moved our furniture, removed the old flooring, and down with the new. The attention to detail and precise workmanship was really impressive. These guys did an outstanding job and made sure to clean up after themselves everyday before leaving. Not many business’ now days truly care about the customer, but I can say Darden went above and beyond to make sure our home was taken care of right. Thank you Mike Regian and Darden for looking out for my family and home! I will return to them for our next home in the future.

I prepaid for the installation of a special-order propane fireplace unit. Installation of the unit, which should have been a 6-hour project, was repeatedly interrupted and rescheduled due to the following issues: (a) the worker had to reschedule 4 additional trips due to not bringing the correct tools to the job site (stating the tools were in his “other truck”), (b) the worker had to reschedule 2 additional trips due to not bringing all the necessary boxes, (c) the worker had to reschedule 1 additional trip due to a problem caused by installing the incorrect regulator and mistakenly thinking it was a problem with the propane tank (according to information I subsequently received from a propane company), and (d) the worker had to reschedule 1 additional trip after I complained about the fact that, to secure a metal cap to the top of my chimney, he had merely placed a brick on it. Because their worker repeatedly made errors resulting in the need for additional trips, Darden charged me an additional $384.97 in “trip charges” over and above the original, prepaid invoice. Moreover, no one at Darden (including the worker that I talked to every time he was here) told me they were making these charges until a few weeks after the project had been completed when I started receiving phone calls asking me to pay a delinquent bill. When I complained, they stated that it was my responsibility and not their responsibility to understand the system requirements for the gas units they supply and install, and that trip charges were due to my failure to obtain correct information from an outside source, and that I should have more carefully read the terms and conditions of the prepaid order.

Don't waste you time with this company. Fireplace Web site disappeared after I tried to order one. I left numerous messages and emails with no reply. Just a joke of a company.

It is truly one of the worst companies. They treat their employees like garbage, while people like Tony treat fireplace customers like garbage. The owner has disengaged and lets his top people run the company into the ground. Try Acme for your brick needs.
