  One of the worst vendors I have ever worked with. The screen quality is not as described and better quality fireplace screens can be purchased through local vendors. The quality of workmanship is poor. I was initially impressed by the website and his silver tongued pitch. I broke my cardinal rule of thumb in purchasing online with this vendor and I did not check reviews before purchasing. Reviews both here and on the better business bureau describe this guy perfectly. I too tried working out the repairs of the screen directly and received an initial response to help followed by a long period of silence. I reported the issue and attempted resolution through the credit card company. Through a series of unfortunate time delays on the credit card companies behalf, we missed our opportunity to reverse the charges. The final communication with the owner was an email message from him to me mocking my attempts to return the item. I have attached photos for reference along with his final mocking email.

  I just purchased the fire screen for then Solo stove bonfire in stainless steel. I was skeptical because of some of the reviews on Google so I actually called and placed the order directly. I asked him a few questions about the product, and also if he could for sure get it before the 4th of July with the free shipping. He said he'd get it out to me the same day which was Monday. 2 hours later I received tracking from Fed ex saying it would be delivered Monday 7-1. The package came today which was 4 days! The screen itself was perfect for what it is and way better than some of my other friends screens which don't fit their pit very well. The quality is great and fits the solo stove bonfire perfectly! I'd definitely do business with him again.

  Purchased fire pit for propane gas on my stone patio at a lake house. Relied on smooth sales pitch that product was US made and had years of experience behind it. RUN not walk away. After paying top dollar for product there was zero customer service. Product broke after 9 times used. Tried to the owner to repair at my expense. Told that the parent company would not allow him to repair. Sent part to him from a plumber, so that increased my cost. So inexperienced, he sent part to parent company. They told him part looked submerged. Fire pit is 28 inches above ground with nothing but empty space below it and weep holes to let what little rain in Texas fall on it. That argument beaten, he told me that part had to be constantly watered by sprinkler. Not smartest guy in the world but don't water my porch too often. BOTTOM LINE: Product he sells is of such poor quality that it fails with minimal use. No after purchase service. Basically someone selling supposedly American built, but is probably from China or worse. Cheap crap. Finally when discussing why my unit was just defective, rather than some goofy reason that it was my fault, he hung up on me. No ugly or curse words from me, just trying to figure something out. Go with this company if you want to waste money. Don't be a sucker like I was.

  Terrible, absolutely terrible customer service. Had a custom firepit screen and a snuffer pan made in July of 2015.. After using literally THREE TIMES, one of the handles on the firepit dome screen broke. Called Jim Jarvis at Dancing Fire, sent pictures showing broken handle etc, reminded him that he had charged me over $1,000 for these products, only to have them break immediately...he said to wait until the summer was over to send it back and he would repair it. Went on and on about how this has never happened before etc. When I contacted him to say OK, I am ready to ship it back to you to be repaired, send me a shipping label, I got a whole different story. He started to say well, maybe this isn't a defective piece, maybe Fed Ex broke the handle when it was shipped, maybe it wasn't his fault and he wasn't going to send me a shipping label. How ridiculous that he doesn't stand behind what he makes. It was going to cost a lot of money to ship such a bulky piece to Texas, and Mr. Jarvis was clearly not going to stand behind what he made, so I took the screen to a local welder who put the handle back on for me. DO NOT USE Dancing Fire. He will sweet talk you to make the sale, but has zero customer service. It is terrible that the fire screen broke immediately, but even more terrible that Jim Jarvis does not stand behind what he makes. Shame on you Mr Jarivs.

  We love our chiminea heat deflector (cap). It makes a wonderful difference sending the warmth outward and has increase our use of the chiminea. The spark screen is a must have and we recommend rounding up on the screen size.
