  We were shopping for a wood burning insert for our fireplace, this was the first place we walked into. Brent greeted us and was extremely helpful, honest, and thorough. They even had a place for my 2 little kids to play while my wife and I looked at the units. A very nice lady even gave them stickers. Brent gave me full quotes for 4 different units, all written out, and I told him I would call if we were interested. I wanted to shop around to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything, the other shop I went to was nowhere near as professional and courteous as Brent was. I immediately called and put an order in for a unit to be installed. When the day came for install, the 2 installers were kind and thoughtful for the safety of my home. They brought plastic wrap to cover all of my furniture, used wood and sheet metal to protect the wood finish in my home and around my hearth. They did a great job installing the unit and making sure everything was done properly. They even informed me about the state of the mason work of my chimney. Overall a 10/10 experience from the moment I stepped in to the final install. They even took payment over the phone and made it extremely easy and convenient. If I ever need to buy another fireplace item, I will definitely be coming back here.

  I've been to Custom Fireplace Shop a few times now—first for help with my Big Green Egg supplies and later when I needed assistance with my fireplace. Each time, the staff has been incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. They took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure I had exactly what I needed. It's clear they really care about their customers and stand behind the products they carry. I highly recommend them for both outdoor cooking gear and fireplace expertise!

  I went in to Custom Fireplace Shop to get information on ventless LP logs for my fireplace. Jeff answered all my questions, didn’t try to up sale me and was very professional. Lee came out to give me an estimate, again very professional and took the time to answer questions. Jeff installed my logs today, was very professional, was very respectful of my property, and did an awesome job with the install.

  We hired this store to install an insert into an existing masonry fireplace. What they installed was not what was shown to us at the estimating stage. A wrong sheet metal facade (too large) was installed and the store took a number of convenient shortcuts to say it would be an additional $1,200 to get the correct facade part installed. The correct facade piece and how it would overlap the fireplace front was not discussed at all. They certainly made it clear they will not return and make it right unless they are paid upfront (a deposit). It is very difficult to do business with this store.
