They did a fantastic job, they called to see if they could get here earlier and they did. They were very professional in appearance and explained the work they needed to do. They did a thorough job inside and outside cleaning the stove pipe. When they were done they cleaned up after the work was through. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

TLDR; the initial team who came to clean and inspect my fireplace were wonderful. But since then, the owner has rescheduled on me last minute 2x, and now fully ghosted me 2x. Completely unprofessional, and has wasted several days of my time at this point waiting around for him. LONG VERSION; my family bought a new house this year with a fireplace that I knew (per the home inspector) would need some work before it could be safely functional. I've called around to so many places, most of whom just don't answer the phone. I finally got through to Joe, the owner of "Chimney Sweeps & Masonry of America," and the very first thing I asked was if they operated in my area. I knew we're about 45 min away, and would've understood if we were just too far. I was told that yes, they do, and that they would just want to schedule it when they had other jobs in the area. Totally fine - I am a very relaxed person, and have a fairly flexible work schedule, so I'm happy to work with people. I was told that first, I would need to do the cleaning + inspection with his crew (about $200), then Joe would come himself to discuss any further work that was needed. My initial call was made on Oct 9, and two men came on Oct 13th to complete the cleaning and inspection. I was happy with the quick turnaround, and they were wonderful - kind, professional, informative, and quick. They are the ONLY reason I'm even giving 2 stars. They indicated on their inspection report that there would be some masonry work needed before we could safely use our fireplace, and that Joe would go over the details and pricing with me in the coming days. After that, I waited a week to hear back about a follow-up, before I finally just called. Joe said they had a job upcoming in my area, and he could come out in just a couple of days (Oct 24th). Perfect! Except then I got a call the morning of, advising that the other job was delayed, and asking me if I could reschedule. Sure, fine - things happen. A few days later they were supposed to come (Oct 27th), and I get a call literally 10 minutes before their scheduled arrival time asking me to reschedule AGAIN due to issues with their other job. I'm getting fairly annoyed at this point, but I keep it to myself because it's not an urgent need for us, and I recognize this time of year is likely busy for a chimney/masonry company. So again, we reschedule for a few days later (Oct 31st). This time, he just straight up ghosts me. I wait around for 4 hours past his scheduled time before calling (he did not answer) and leaving a voicemail, inquiring if he would still be showing up that day. I never received any response. I wait a few days and call again (Nov 4th), but don't bother leaving a voicemail when there is no answer. Finally, I call again yesterday, Nov 14th and actually get through to Joe. It is clear to me that he initially had no idea who I was, but still he tried to tell me that he DID call me back, and left me a voicemail telling me they do not service my area. I received no missed calls or voicemails, and considering a team had already been to my house to clean and inspect a month prior, and I had been told explicitly by this same man that they WOULD come to my area, I'm thinking BS. So I run though the whole spiel with him - the cleaning and inspection, the 2 rescheduled appointments, the no-show, then the never returned voicemail. This all jogs his memory and he says now he remembers me, and he will absolutely be out tomorrow (Nov 15th) around 11 am. He has told me a few times at this point that he would "make it worth my while," if I let him reschedule, so I kept doing it because I thought if there's a chance to save a little money for all the inconvenience, I'm absolutely going to take it. Now here we are, it's after 2 pm and again he has not shown up, or even called to say he'd be late. I'm very much done at this point.

Only easy thing was scheduling an appointment to inspect a chimney. They seem unorganized and communication with customer is poor as I had to be the person following up with them. Ultimately, I can not recommend as I gave up waiting on them for a service promised and they didn’t follow through. I need additional work but will look elsewhere. Update: To clarify, I grew up in Pittsburgh but have lived in the Youngstown area over 30 years. You did work this past summer at the E Radio home🤷‍♀️

Very professionally, cleaned my double wall, flue and evaluated my masonry chimney for fireplace. On time service and management was excellent resolving all my issues. Price was reasonable, And within my limits. Highly recommend.
