  Peter was very engaging, friendly and talkative while I was in his shop checking out wood stoves. I told him that I was looking to heat a 1300 s.f. well insulated house, I was thinking about the hearthstone Green mountain 40, but he steered me to the 60 because he said it made more sense with the amount of window area I had in the sunroom where I was planning on putting the stove. It's the end of November now and the nights have been down into the mid-20s and 30s, and the days have been getting up into the '30s and low 40s. So far the stove has been more than enough to heat the house, we've only been able to make small fires and are still trying to figure out the best way to efficiently use the stove without having to open the windows. I stopped by the shop today because I had a question about a snow wedge that Peter had sold me to protect the stove pipe from snow coming off the main roof. Peter didn't really have an answer for me and said I should speak with the other salesman who had a little bit more knowledge on the product. I would have thought that after spending $6,000 that Peter would have asked me how the stove was working and how things were going with it, but he didn't have much to say. Unfortunately it made me feel like he was just another guy making a buck.

  A great shop for everything you need to keep the house warm. Had a great experience there with Peter. He was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and patient. He got us squared away with exactly what we were after. They carry a great assortment beautiful wood stoves, pellet stoves and hearths. Additionally, they offer professional installation for the stove and the hearth. If you're in the market, whether you're a seasoned pro or getting your first stove, this is your best bet in the Montpelier area.

  Peter and the team at Chimney Sweep offer exceptional customer service! Highly recommend buying a wood, gas stove or services from them. They are informative, helpful and friendly. We recently had an issue with the gasket on our woodburning stove that we purchased a few years ago. Peter, one of the owners, took my calls, listened, responded right away and offered to send his team to fix the gasket within 24 hours! Now that is customer service! Kenny and Travis, showed up, right on time, were polite, efficient and quick. Grateful to them both that we'll now be able to use the wood stove again tonight. Thank you, Chimney Sweep! This was the third purchase from you and I will continue to recommend you to family and friends.
