James Tyler from Chimney Solutions arrived promptly at 7:55 a.m. for my 8:00 a.m. appointment, which I really appreciated. I explained that I’ve never used my fireplace since moving into my home 17 years ago and that I wanted to start using it, which is why I requested a Level 2 chimney inspection and cleaning. Mr. Tyler thoroughly inspected the fireplace and clearly explained his findings. He provided estimates for replacing a broken gas component (the pipe that shoots out the flame), repairing the cracked interior walls of the fireplace, and replacing rusted curtain rods. He was very transparent about pricing and took the time to walk me through everything. I also asked his opinion about converting the fireplace from gas to electric. Mr. Tyler shared his professional expertise, explaining why an electric conversion could be a more economical option long term. He even showed me photos of electric fireplace conversions, including his own mother’s recently converted fireplace, which was very helpful. He never pressured me — he simply offered honest, knowledgeable advice. He provided estimates for both repairing the gas fireplace and converting it to electric. After considering the ongoing maintenance required for a gas fireplace, I decided to move forward with the electric conversion. I placed a deposit, and the work is expected to be completed within 2–3 weeks. I’ll be happy to share photos once the project is finished. I strongly agree with the positive reviews I read about Chimney Solutions. James Tyler was professional, honest, and knowledgeable, and I highly recommend Chimney Solutions for any chimney or fireplace services. ***Following up on my Google review as promised, Chimney Solutions did an excellent job converting my gas fireplace to an electric one. The techs came on 01/07/2026 and said installation would take 2–3 weeks, but they returned and completed it on 01/16/2026, much sooner than expected. Christian and his fellow technician were professional and efficient. The fireplace looks amazing and adds great ambiance, with multiple flame and media bed colors, adjustable heat settings, and really good heat. I’m sharing before and after photos because the transformation is impressive. I highly recommend Chimney Solutions.

This is the third time we have used Chimney Solutions. 2 cleanings at different houses and this time to install new gas logs. Chip Carruth has been our Specialist all three times and has been great every time. Very professional and clean during the messy process! I attached a before and after and we couldn’t be happier!

Review of Chimney Solutions I’m writing to document an extremely disappointing experience with Chimney Solutions. Two years ago, they installed a new fireplace system in our home. It was paid for in full, and the installation appeared complete. However, the system has now stopped working — far sooner than would be expected for new equipment — and the company has refused to take responsibility or provide any reasonable path to resolution. Despite multiple messages and calls over several weeks, no one returned our inquiries. When I finally reached someone, rather than offering service support, Chimney Solutions incorrectly claimed we had an unpaid balance and sent our account to collections — despite clear payment records confirming the balance was settled in full at the time of installation. After I provided documentation proving payment, their Operations Manager acknowledged there had been “changes in their accounting team” but still declined to assist, citing an internal dispute as justification for refusing service. In short: We paid in full for the system two years ago. The unit is now non-functional. The company’s records are inaccurate and poorly managed. They have ignored customer inquiries and declined to stand behind their own installation. This experience reflects serious operational and ethical issues — both in recordkeeping and in post-installation support. I would strongly caution others to avoid this business until it demonstrates accountability for its work and customers.

He was prompt, courteous, and handled the installation quickly. Very clean work, will definitely ask for him again. The finishing touches show his dedication to quality with great craftsmanship throughout the whole project. My wife and I are thrilled with the quality and attention to detail. Job well done!
