  Very, very happy with Chim Chim Churee’s work. Great customer service, quality work and superior responsiveness. We met the lovely Alexus Benfield at the Dulles Home and Garden Expo in early 2024. We were looking for a chimney repair company and then found out they also do other masonry work. We also needed to have our exterior front entry and back brick steps replaced as they were crumbling and becoming unsafe. Even with all of their multiple sales leads from the Expo, Alexus set up an initial site visit with Thomas Benfield very quickly. To add to the whole experience, Thomas wears a top hat! Our work request included repair of two chimney crowns, lining of our furnace flue, and replacement of our crumbling exterior front and back brick steps. The quote was very reasonable and we signed up for the work right away. Work started quickly on April 22, 2024 and was finished in just a few days. Erick and James did a spectacular job with our new front entry steps and back steps. Our old brick steps were literally coming apart. They found bricks to exactly match the mid-70s bricks on our home. The bluestone top pieces are nicely arranged in a lovely pattern. Erick is a gifted mason which is a rarity these days. Erick’s colleague James kept me smiling with his pleasant demeanor and very polite conversation. Erick also removed and reapplied our two chimney crowns and replaced some damaged bricks. Another team member, Chris, relined our furnace flue with a stainless steel elite chimney liner due to our smelling furnace exhaust through our dining room area fireplace’s firebox on cold days. The furnace flue runs alongside the dining room fireplace flue and they share a chimney. So far we have not noticed any furnace exhaust seeping through the dining room fireplace since the project was completed. Chris was also very pleasant, polite and friendly. Chim-Chim Churee’s team did a good job with the cleanup of the old bricks and other material. They also left us some replacement bricks and a few pieces of bluestone for any needed repairs in the future. Fast forward to September 2024 and during a cursory check of our roof and the chimneys, we found that one of the replaced chimney crowns had a few small cracks. Thomas came out to inspect it and did the repairs same-day at no cost to us. A superior response and we can tell that Chim-Chim Churee stands by its work. Highly recommended company. We would definitely use them again.

  Tom and crew did a excellent job replacing my fireplace surround, chimney mortar, and cap, things were falling apart after 37 years, now everything is better than new. The team when above and beyond, adding water deflecting flashing around the chimney and sealing the gutters. The color match of the mortar is great too. The team was courteous and cleaned up the work area above expectations. See before ans after pics.

  Five stars all around! Thomas and his team are top-notch. We moved into a new house and weren’t sure if our fireplace was functional. He came out and did a thorough inspection and gave us extremely detailed information about how our fireplace worked and what would happen if we were to try and use it. No pressure, no sales. He even went down to the basement with us to show us where our ash dump was located, and made sure we knew how to safely operate and maintain our fireplace. We got to talking and he even checked out our sump pump for us at no charge to show us how to make sure it was in working order. The fact that he was so generous in sharing his expertise and giving us the tools we needed to be confident made us feel that he was 100% trustworthy and honest. He was in no hurry, and felt like a family member you’d call to give their honest opinion. We ended up needing a new liner, and because of the Thanksgiving holiday, we were able to schedule the repair the next day. His team was incredibly kind, professional, tidy, and hard-working. They did an incredible job and we will be able to gather around the fireplace in time for the holidays! We can’t say enough good things about Thomas and his company- we love that they’re local and family-owned, honest and sincere, and you can tell that he’s been doing this a long time and is an expert in this arena. 1000% recommend!!

  Hands down one of the best experiences we have had with work done on our home and we have hired many contractors.
