  I have used Wayne's Company, Certified Craftsmen, 4 times in my 20 years in Brielle. My house was in very bad shape when I first purchased it and Wayne replaced rotted wood and re-trimmed some of the windows that were badly done by prior owner. He also replaced a 'eyebrow' window that was in my roof as well as replacing the entire roof. I would highly recommend and I would not use anyone else. His Company also inspects, cleans and repairs Chimney issues which I am in the process of dealing with now.

  Our house is 5 yrs old and has a masonry fireplace. When our long time inspection/cleaning service tech retired we engaged Certified Craftsmen. We were surprised to hear that there were some construction defects that could eventually cause a chimney fire. Michael's inspection report was extremely thorough and included detailed pictures of the problem areas. He also provided a list of recommendations which he reviewed with us. We decided to move forward with the repairs as well as a few upgrades to prevent rain water intrusion and improve the performance. Wayne's team performed all of the repairs. They were professional and worked efficiently. They went the extra mile to isolate and contain any dust and debris. They explained what they were doing and why, answered all of our questions and concerns. The end result is a fireplace that is now safe, dry and efficient. It's working better than it ever has. Going forward we will not let anyone other than Michael, Wayne and Certified Craftsmen clean and inspect our fireplace. Period! Robert and Bernadette Rudzonis Brick

  For years we had problems with water getting into our home whenever there was a heavy rain or snow. We had several contractors come out and attempt to fix it to no avail. Finally we had Certified Craftsmen come out, and they fixed it! Apparently our chimney had deteriorated to the point of needing to be rebuilt. It was a big job, but after multiple failed repairs by other contractors and the very real possibility of mold from all the water we went ahead with it. Certified Craftsmen rebuilt the chimney and lined it with stainless steel, so now we have a dry home and a beautiful brick chimney that will last a long time. We trusted Certified Craftsmen and they delivered.

  Wayne and crew really came through for us! We were desperate trying to get our chimney relined and a nest removed to prevent CO backup from our hot water heater. Two other companies strung us along or said things like there was an internal collapse or that it was intentionally sealed off and there was no way to clear it or get a liner through. They all just wanted us to abandon the chimney and vent the heater another way (which in our situation was really not a viable solution). So in a last attempt we called Certified Craftsmen. Wayne at first was not too optimistic about it, but unlike the others he did not give up! After nearly 2 hours inspecting and strategizing he found a way to make it work. And they did! When the time came to do the job it went even smoother than predicted. Communication was great, they kept to their schedule, provided a detailed estimate with multiple options--overall a pleasure to work with and an all around and a great ending to our very troubling chimney problem! They even noticed a leak in our AC air handler and called someone to come out and fix it for us (in the height of August heat). I highly recommend them and look forward to hiring them again--thanks guys!
