  My wife and i went by to gather info on pellet and wood stoves. Jeff was very knowledgeable and down to earth, Pleasant to deal with and very reasonable on pricing. He even directed me to some sources of wood. We are very excited to get our new stove up an running to help beat down the the cost of oil! A++ Post install. They came in and finished in 5 hours start to finish. We love the way it looks and heats. We would recommend Jeff any day.

  Referred to Jeff by a co-worker that seemed to have a similar experience as me. Was given a price on a gas fireplace from a local fireplace store and long story short, Jeff did the job for about half the price, installed it himself with another one of his guys (store claimed to install themselves but found out later they use subs - I asked the question directly and was told no subs), was on time for measure, installation, and start up and most importantly didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. When we had a problem with the fireplace (turned out to be bad batteries in the internal receiver, nothing regarding the install itself), Jeff showed up promptly and without an apointment to fix it as he promised with his service. Had a great experience with Captain Soot and 10/10 would recommend. Thanks Jeff.

  Jeff gave us a very fair price to reface our old red brick fireplace and install a new gas insert. The work was done in a timely manner. Pete and Jimmy did a great job! We would highly recommend Captain Soot for any of your fireplace needs!

  What a thorough job! It was great to have such knowledgeable technicians. They went beyond the extra mile. Plus, Pete and Jimmy were pleasant all around and nice to have over. I strongly recommend for chimney cleanings. Glad my neighbor recommended them! I'll do the same!

  Captain Soot’s! Just WOW! I embarked on this adventure for a wood burning insert, Osborn Matrix, Jeff made the process super easy, timely, great quality, great service! Pete and Jimmy, great professional install team were, efficient, knowledgeable and clean (seriously not easy with soot) crew! Full transparency we did not have the chimney cleaned from last year, so Pete and Jimmy had an exceptionally dirty job! I researched 3 different install companies on the island, scoured reviews, weighed the pros/cons. Captain Soot’s exceeded the Pros list by timing, cost and quality! 100% recommend! Just a side note as a woman, Captain Soot’s was a breeze to work with! Answered all my questions, gave straight no b/s answers! I can’t rave enough!
