  October 28, 2025. Mike from Sales and Service, out of Auburn, NY came out to inspect and clean our woodstove and inspect the chimney. He was excellent. He did a very thorough job and took time to explain what he was doing. Almost 2 hours on the job… excellent. They will be called on again for service. If you need service for your fireplace and chimney, definitely give them a call. Ask for Mike, too

  They sold me the wrong parts and the charged me a 35% restocking fee to return them. I paid them $172.60 for their mistake. Incompetent employee representing a ripoff company. I would give them less that one star if I could.

  We bought a home with a deteriorating chimney crown & called Butler for help. The entire experience was great! Ron showed up quickly and gave us a free estimate. Eric the mason did a stellar job; our chimney is structurally sound and beautiful now! Shout out to Hannah for great communication and making the job smooth from start to finish! After repairs, we scheduled a cleaning/inspection. The technician thoroughly cleaned/inspected both our fireplaces & flues. His work was clean and he was careful inside our home. We noticed later that evening that the chimney caps were tilted sideways (must have been accidentally bumped with the power brush). I contacted Hannah and she sent a crew over the next day to re-mount the caps nice & straight. Stuff happens and nobody’s perfect, right? It speaks volumes that they stand behind their work and make things right. Thanks to the staff at Butler Sales & Service for making our chimney safe & gorgeous again!

  I purchased a wood burning fireplace from here. They refused to provide me with their insurance carrier information so I could obtain a Certificate for my homeowner’s insurance company. They enclosed the fireplace surround thus I had to tear down the Sheetrock so the work could be inspected. The tile on the hearth was completely uneven, each tile was cut approximately 1/8 different. At court them claimed that tile was not included on the hearth and the finished job consisted of a piece of durarock! Despite my contract stating that this fireplace came with a mental, it did not, so I had to purchase my own. We requested a sketch of what the fireplace was going to look like and did not receive that. Steve, sales manager, provided a FAKE document to the court!! I would not send my worst enemy to these crooks. It’s a shame that they are allowed to be in business. Karma will prevail. Not to mention they used caulk instead of grout. Check out my finished product…. $8,500.00 for that. No mantel, no tile, no paint. What a joke

  I went into the store and ordered and paid for a pellet stove. Two weeks later I called and asked where it was. They had forgot about my order and located the stove in Syracuse. I was told the stove would be delivered on Thursday. I waited at home all day, no show or call. I called them on Friday and the stove was delivered the following Tuesday. That was when I was told the price I paid did not include piping and installation. That would be another $1,600-1,800. If you deal with this company, make sure you get everything in writing with an estimate of all costs before making a purchase.
