  We were faced with the need to replace a 25-year-old gas fireplace that was located behind a very intricate custom wooden mantel. Our concern was the woodwork would never look right once it was removed however thankfully we discovered Brian and his company Blazing Hot Stoves. Brian went above and beyond to help us pick the perfect replacement fireplace and found two amazing craftsmen to gently disassemble the woodwork and then reinstall everything so that there is no sign of all the work performed. We will recommend Brian at every opportunity and look forward to working with him and Blazing Hot Stoves in the future. Thank you Brian!

  Blazing Hot Stoves is a gem of a family run business. Brian and his wife are fantastic, they truly care about their customers. You won't get better support, pricing, and care than here; even from the "bigger" outlets. After experiencing a pellet stove at a friend's place, and seeing the savings over oil, I started to research an insert. I initially shopped the big box stores (and Amazon), coming to the conclusion that it made sense to spend a little more for a higher quality stove from a brand like Harmon. I then started working with local distributors (Superior, Black Swan, Dean's and Valley). NO ONE spent the time and shared the level of knowledge that Brian did. Also, no one cared as much as he did. Brian truly wants to help and is incredibly honest, as well as transparent. In EVERYTHING; from finding the right stove, to how to care for one, to the install, and of course pricing. (Did you know that the surround for the Harmon stove AND the wireless sensors ARE included from the manufacturer - at no additional charge!? Other retailers were charging those as add-ons!) He even reviewed my property to ensure the right stove for my needs and his install crew did a terrific job. A new stove is a big investment, but rest assured that Blazing Hot Stoves is the best place in CT to buy one from. Only suggestion I'd give to them is to improve their online presence. Brian's wealth of knowledge and dynamic personality deserves a YouTube channel / Instagram account!

  I don’t spend close to $6K on something as obscure as a pellet fireplace insert without doing my research since I don’t like looking back at my decision with regret. By the time I got to Blazing Hot Stoves I had spent over a week researching my options online and hours in showrooms talking to six other dealers. I had narrowed my choices from the wide array of brands out there down to two (Hampton and Harman) and at that point was really just looking for the right dealer to buy from. Brian and his wife Chris were super knowledgeable, generous with their time and overflowing with useful information about their industry and their experiences selling and supporting these stoves. In addition, at no point did I feel like was being steered in a certain direction for their own gain, which is something I am always on the lookout for when dealing with these closed industries. In fact, in several instances they directed me away from them when it made the most sense for me (getting pellets from a local dealer instead of them and exploring, in detail, the option of doing the installation myself, which I decided against). My install is scheduled for later this month and I am confident I chose an insert and a dealer that I will be very happy with for years to come. I will post a picture when our Harman Accentra52i-TC is up and running. Pro-Tip: Visit dealers during weekdays if you can so you are not battling the herd to get your questions answered.

  Total Package when it comes to every part of the transaction with BHS. First off, Brian S, the owner, is amazing. My wife and I went into the showroom pretty sure of what we wanted. He spent the time talking me through everything, costs, installations, pros and cons. Everything. Probably an hour of his time. We agreed on the model, and ended up choosing a different stove and it was no issue for them. Brian is super-committed to making sure you have the best product for your money. Now, some places have great owners or sales people but have installers that are horrible. Not so with BHS! Two guys came on time and couldnt have been nicer to me and worked extremely cleanly, and professionally. I can't recommend BHS from purchase to installation enough! If you want the best go to Blazing Hot Stoves. You won't find nicer more caring people.

  I could not possibly recommend this store more. After trying four other stores to get a wood stove installed, I called Blazing Hot Stoves and Brian and his wife, were not only extremely accommodating but extremely professional. From first meeting to about 3 weeks later my wife and I had our stove and chimney installed and it was a seamless and easy transaction. Blazing hot stoves not only knows what they are doing but will absolutely go the extra mile for you.
