We just had a blaze king Ashford 25 installed about a month ago. It's a beautiful fireplace insert and we were very excited to get it installed. But there is a problem... Anytime you open the fire box door smoke pours out of it! It doesn't mater if the windows are open or not it just won't draft correctly. Very disappointed with it considering the amount of money put into it and the installation. The company has been doing their best to ratify the problem with no answers to the problem. Blaze king wants them to raise the stack higher which is absolutely ugly. Sorry, I just can't recommend this product.

I have 2 older blaze king stoves and absolutely love them. No other company makes stoves that can burn so long. I called blaze king with a question today about my stove made in 1984 and got an excellent answer. I wish there were more companies like this.

We bought an Ashford Blaze King 2 years ago and think it is GREAT!! We had a Jotul Oslo 500 for many years, but before we bought the Blaze King I was loading the Jotul every 4 hours and every morning I would have to split kindling to restart the fire. NOT ANY MORE!! We live in upstate NY and once winter kicks in, I make a fire and load the stove once in the morning and again in the evening, no more splitting dry shop wood and starting a fire from scratch. I wake up to a blazing bed of red hot coals. I never have to start a fire again. The damper control works fantastic, you can really control your BTU out put with real specificity. It is very well made, it takes a little getting use to, but once you get familiar with it it is really a game changer. The clean out of the stove was a bit of a hurdle, you have swipe the ashes into a 4" x 4" hole that drops into a tray that you then empty. The conflict is keeping enough red ambers and getting rid of the burned up ashes, and not getting ash residue into the room where the stove is. Even with this complaint I still think the stove makes life so much easier. Also when ever I called the company they always there and are eager to help. Love this stove.

I've had two blaze King wood stoves. Two different homes. Very durable and efficient wood stoves. I will buy another one when my present one wears out.
