  Blackman fireplace took our money and never came back to make the repairs. We sued in small claims court and won the judgment. Chances are low that we’ll ever get our money back. I just watched News 12’s feature on this business- the many people that they’ve scammed, the numerous judgements against them, the negative bbb reviews and even an arrest and yet they continue to do business.

  I hired this company to service my pellet stove. When I originally called I said we hadn't had the pellet stove serviced and was told it would be $600 to have the stove cleaned because it would take hours and be very dirty. I said fine. Then I texted again a few days later to say actually we had it serviced last year and I described precisely what my husband said he thought was wrong with it. I was told he would come assess the issue. Then he comes, says it requires expensive parts to fix the issue (smoke entering the house), and he charged me $600 to do nothing. When I said this was unacceptable hr said he traveled from Long Island so it included travel time. He was at my house for one hour. Assuming it takes him an hour to get to Westchester (it doesnt) and n hour home, I paid him $200 per hour for his travel time. And nothing is fixed. This was a total waste of time. I have never dealt with such a slimy company.

  I needed to replace my electric fireplace so I called for service and they came right away to see what we needed. It turns out my unit came in earlier than expected and they called asking me if they can install the next day so my kids can have a brand new electric fireplace for Christmas. The unit was well made and exceeded my expectations. The Installation was done beautifully and the service was impeccable. I will be recommending them to friends and family.

  I needed to replace a gas fireplace and have one brick chimney repointed and crown cap replaced on this chimney and just a crown cap on a second chimney. I called Blackman Fire Place for an estimate. Ron came over right away, pointed out all the issues needing attention and gave me a quote on the work and the equipment needed. He also understood I needed this work to be done promptly. He scheduled the repair and installation for a few days later. He and his workers showed up on time and did the repair and installation to my great satisfaction! I could not have been more pleased. On top of it all, I found the price for both the repair and installation to be reasonable. I highly recommend Ron and Blackman Fireplace!
