  I recently had a wonderful experience with the installation of my brand-new glass fireplace doors. The entire process was seamless, thanks in large part to the employee who completed the job. Rusharn was truly phenomenal. He was organized and extremely clean and neat, ensuring that my home remained spotless throughout the installation process. Rusharn was exceptionally courteous and professional, taking the time to answer my questions and explain the features of my new doors. The quality of the installation is excellent, and the finished product looks beautiful.

  We had such a great experience with Black Swan, from start to finish. Everyone was very responsive and helped guide us through the sometimes-challenging process of installing a wood burning stove in our 250+ year old home!   First time customer that has no luck with contractors however let me say Dustin and Matthew installed my insert in such a professional manner. I was blown away, cleaned up after themselves like it never happened and they had to cut a lot of stuff out of my existing fireplace.   I've owned a pellet stove insert for a few years. I purchased the stove from Black Swan, had the installation done by their team, have my yearly maintenance done by them, and purchased pallets of pellets from them — and I've always been very pleased with the service they provide. But the most recent service, provided by technician Emmett, far exceeded my expectations and will be the reason I always turn to Black Swan for my pellet stove needs. When I turned my stove on for the first time this season last Thursday, I received an error message on the screen. I called the office around 2 p.m., and they said that a technician would call me when they returned to the office. Emmett called around 3:30 p.m., walked me through a few steps to try to remedy the issue, and when that didn't help, he asked if he could swing by. He was at my house from 3:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., trying to figure out what the issue was — to no avail. He not only tried out different replacement parts, but he also reinstalled all of the original parts when they didn't fix the problem so I wouldn't be charged for any of them. He committed to calling Harman tech support the following day and said he'd follow up with me once they identified what else might be causing the issue. He called me at 4 p.m. the following afternoon and told me there were two other possible causes for the malfunction. He came back to my house and stayed again until after 6 p.m. (on a Friday evening) — and fixed the issue. He was so committed to fixing the stove, was extremely communicative, worked after hours two days in a row, and went above and beyond to make sure my kids and I could enjoy it. It is so wonderful to have a great business backed by a great team with people like Emmett here in Newtown, and I plan to be a customer for many years to come.

  My grandfather used black swan many years ago when he lived in Shelton and had great experiences for his pellet stove purchase and servicing for many years. I used black swan for my wood stove/chimney liner install last year, 2024. I just had them do the annual cleaning this year 10/2025 for the upcoming burning season. As usual, a job very well done. Chris arrived on time, polite, and very pleasant to deal with. Thanks Chris
