Black Swan in New Milford, Connecticut is totally top-notch. I had issues with my defiant, wood-burning stove, and customer service literally stay in contact with me assured me the new pieces were being delivered ASAP. Two days later my stove is up in burning wood just as it was supposed too. The technician was fast courteous, and swapped out the default problem in less than a half an hour. I cannot be more proud of black swans product, there dedication and backing up what they sell. The seller to the tech-support to the installation is second to none.

The owner and staff in New Milford were so helpful and professional. I replaced an old 35 year old fireplace with a new insert and new chimney. They knew all the town regulations and worked with my contractors for the surround. The installers were so knowledgeable and went the extra mile in explaining all the details and best insulating. The fireplace is gorgeous and works perfectly. I highly recommend working with Black Swan!

If you'd like to deal with a good customer service when you need it, DO NOT BUY from Black Swan and in particular not from the New Milford store. If the customer service were just bad, I wouldn't write such a review. But their service is not only awful, the staff answering the phone are rude and dismissive. Once they sale is completed, customers do not mean anything to them anymore. Please look at the reviews on other websites, such as yelp, and you will understand. Save yourself a lot of trouble and buy somewhere else. You can contact me for further detail on my numerous awful experiences with them.

They had poor customer service in their Newtown, CT site. They over quoted a fireplace insert by 2K. I used Novicky's fireside instead, the product was the same, the installation was poor. As a consolation, the owner Mrs. Swan did contact me regarding my previous review, so they do care about their reputation...just overly priced.
